has anyone seen that old game show 'knightmare' They should make one like thatÃ,  ;D

no they bloody well shouldn't

you said Night of the Living Solonoids twice...

well, here's what i think for a title, it's a game about caterpillar creatures, and caterpillars have lots of legs, so, why not call it something like "Legs", it has the horror theme about it, bit like "The Birds" or "The Thing"...

well, it's very blurry and it's hard to tell what it's actually of, it kinda looks like polar bears fighting on a mountain while one sits behind a tree laughing...

I have nothing to contribute to this thread except that my teacher says that you aren't supposed to use the word Brainstorm anymore, since it refers to epileptic fits. She keeps having to correct herself and call it a "Mind Map".

well, i'm epileptic and it doesn't bother me at all, so tell your teacher to shut up and stop being a aietai htiaaathadgjkdajekgjekaleklgkaelktlakp3ojt

i find using a "multiply" layer (PSP) is good for colouring stuff, much better than a colour layer or even using colourise, but when you just use a layer to do the colouring you're gonna end up with jagged edges unless you use anti-aliasing or the soften brush

you should talk to LGM, or look for an old post where he took greyscale images and coloured them with pretty good results

okay. managed to up to my webspace...

also, started on the animation for the space background...

if you're wondering about the black appearing on the planet, i tried to make it look like the orbiting moon was casting a shadow

i always get AGI and SCI confuzzled, but when i said AGI what i really meant was low resolution and limited colours, all in all there are 1,2,3,4... 26 colours in that image, some of them are just similar repeats of near enough the same colour, like some have a tad more blue in them, which i think i'll actually do something about cos i've done another room that uses slightly more colours because of a gradient glow, which i'll probably re-do because i'm not too happy about the way it turned out, it looks too different from the other, but as it's just a short game i might just leave it as it is, i would post it here but for some reason when i try upload to my space it just times out, i'll post it later

if i'm not mistaken, AGI stands for Adventure Game Interpreter and was a system that Sierra used for a lot of it's adventure games, and EGA is something beginning with E Graphics Adaptor i think, anyway it's just a palette of 16 colours and like maybe 40 different combinations of colours in a checkered style so give the illusion of shading

how many frames does your walkcycle have?
the first frame of all the walkcycles is the idle frame (the one that is shown when the character stands still)
so the first frame shouldn't be part of the actual walkcycle, but a frame you want displayed when the character isn't moving
#1096
do you mean the mesh in the far right or the pipes? i might shift the pipes across a bit, or colour them, i didn't notice how much they interefere with the wall until you pointed it out, thanks  ;)
#1097
okay, here's the final version that i'm going to use in the game sans animations

it kinds looks as if he's laying down in a confined space...
make his shoulders a bit wider and try make it look as if his arms aren't as close to his body, also try do something about the shoes so it looks as if he's standing rather than on the very tip of his toes...
apart from that i think it's great, i like his facial features, but the small body doesn't really suit them much...

letterbox will run a 320x200 at 320x240, but instead of stretching the image, it will add borders
