if you're going to dualboot anything with XP, be sure to install XP first, a friend of mine tried dualbooting linux and xp, he installed linux first then xp did something to the boot section of the hard disk and completely messed it up, but then he might have done something wrong and that might not be the case...
i've always been scared of partitions ever since i made one then accidentally got rid of it and lost all my data...

i prefer the original colouring to mandarb's more skin like tones, the original picture kinda gives the impression he's going for the old 16 colour (52 or something when you use all those checker patterns of different colour type thingies) EGA palette...
one thing you might want to try do is make her look a little more female, she kinda looks a bit like mr magoo in drag...

if you want to do midi aswell as play the keyboard then i would recommend a yamaha for native XG support, but it really depends on how much money you're looking to spend, ofcourse the more you spend the better quality you're going to get. i don't have a keyboard myself, just a sythesizer but it has all the midi sounds and they're good quality, check yamaha's music site for information on their keyboards, or there's always casio if you're looking for something cheaper.

i'm looking forward to Metroid Prime 2, and i've not even finished Metroid Prime yet!
i'm also looking forward to the metroid movie, MP is about the only console FPS i actually like and didn't just get pissed off with because of stupid controls, it's a great looking game too, and if i stop getting lost looking for that big plant boss again i might get to see even more of it...

Boyd, that is correct, but he is also presenting an opportunity for people to train their sprite drawing techniques, and to compare with other people.

ah, kinda like the sprite jam compo then...

if you had sent the warranty card thingamedooda off when you got the ps2 (who ever does?), sony would have fixed it for you... i think.
i got really annoyed with my ps2 giving me disc read errors that i gave it a reason not to work, and now i can't Soul Reaver 2 :(

Animation Shop, which comes with Paint Shop Pro 5 and above can load AVI files, and will allow you to export all of or selected frames as seperate image files, or will even export the frames to Paint Shop Pro
