the way most irc compos are done is somebody hosts, they decide the time limit and theme (if there is one), then once people are done they send you their entries, and once everyone has sent their's or the time limit is reached, you compile a votepack and upload it to a site, then everyone downloads it and votes for them in order of which one they like best, it's usually done by filenames and the authors are kept anonymous until voting is over, so if six people entered and the filenames were 1.gif 2.gif 3.gif 4.gif 5.gif and 6.gif, people would go look at them then get send the host a message with their votes something like this:
1. 4.gif
2. 1.gif
3. 5.gif
4. 2.gif
5. 6.gif
6. 3.gif

then once everyone has voted you count up the scores and announce them with the filename and author...

or atleast that's how i always used to host music compos, the only real difference in those was that the host also made a sample pack...

why don't you actually post some of the pictures on the forum using anonymizer?

just make the links like this:

i like this idea, be cool if, depending on whether it happens, if we all found a hotel to stay in, 1 to 2 week holidays to benidorm are apparently quite cheap apparently... i think
#1426
okay then, could you also make one to warn of flashing lights for those of us with epilepsy?
#1427
well, maybe it was a bit harsh and for that i apologise, but how many games have had drugs in them before FLASHBAX and far more worse stuff, i think that Broken Brain game should have had a flashing lights warning...
i just think that foz may feel as if he's being told off for putting some original stuff in his game, he already asked if people thought it was too violent, i mean something like murder or somebody dying in some horrific way is probably more disturbing that drug usage, and besides, how many people that downloaded the game actually went to the games download page instead of following the link from the post in the completed games forum? a warning about drug usage wouldn't have done any good if that were the case...
and the final point that i would like to point upon you all is that you wouldn't read up about everything that happened in a movie before going to see it, you want to be surprised and in some cases shocked by what you don't know about, if people on the forum are going to post about something in the game they're asked to use the spoiler code...

i didn't intend to offend nihilist with my original reply, if i did offend you nihilist then i'm sorry.

didnt paypal get sued for not giving some people their dough? sounds kinda risky. I avoid it. heres what I do
to folks in the state of Ohio, where I do most of my bussiness, I sell CD's with a ton of stuff on them, all the bob's quests, TGC demos, unrealeased AGS stuff, and throw in some behind teh sences and walkthrus and stuff. I charge 5$

For people who dont live in Ohio, (AGSers mostly) or people with uber-good internet, I offer the games for download, free. They just dont get the goodies. I think this is the best way to make money in AGS.

the way i view it is; AGS is for making games, not money
#1434
is this a sign of things to come? everyone wanting people to pay for their game?

i think people are only going to pay for a game if it is of high quality and not just because the person that made it wants to make some money...

what if the people that want to play it don't have a credit/debit card?
#1435
there's been loads of alerts like this over the last few months, it's just scare mongering in an attempt to divert attention away from this stupid hutton enquiry thing...
#1436
converting mods to mp3 or ogg is a very bad thing to do...
#1437
it does support them, but it doesn't play chips too well, especially if there are lots of sines, it also won't play if the file/samples are too small, the game will just crash (i tried with an xm under 4k in size)...

are you a tracker then?

PSP8 is totally different from PSP7, it looks more like PS now, with it's stupid colour wheel...
i'm pretty sure if you keep looking you'll find it through google, i did a while back, and there's a website that has older version, i think www.olderversion.com or something similar, if you don't have any luck i'll see if i can find it on one of the coverdiscs i have and if i find it i'll send it to you...
