it'd probably be easier and cheaper to develop for the dreamcast as the OS is based on WinCE, it's already possible to play some SCUMM games on dreamcast using ScummDC, the dreamcast seems pretty easy to develop for...
what i'd like to see is adventure games on something like GBA as it's easily emulated on PC, $200 seems pretty expensive just to develop on PS2 when you consider the console costs less than that, nice idea though...

what's your nickname, and why did you pick it?

I chose 12431, simply because noone else would call themselves that.

In norway I call myself "liteklem". only norwegians would understand it.

doesn't that mean "diet milk" or something?
i like the norwegian word for "fart", but i can't remember what it is, "space" something...

anyway, i was originally called ChameleonĂ¢,,¢ back when i first joined compuserve all those years ago, which came about because i kept changing my name and was kinda stupid and thought it was all mysterious and stuff, then for a little while i changed it to Overmann because i fell madly in love with Beneath A Steal Sky, but soon changed it back again...
then i started using IRC but somebody already had Chameleon so i shortened it to Cham, and because it looked kinda a weird i stuck CSi (to represent Compuserve Inc for some reason) and became known to the world as ChamCSi, then a few years later i changed isp and was known as ChamNTL, then a few years later again i got DSL so i was known as ChamDSL... somewhere between ChamNTL and ChamDSL i thought up the name BOYD while watching some movie (it's an acronym) then i shoved my birthyear on the end of it, i now use BOYD1981 pretty much everywhere except for when i use efnet, as people there still know me as ChamDSL and i don't want to be all awkward and make them get used to calling me something else as me and that nick have a long history, and that's my story, movie coming soon...

for some reason pixel resize in animshop messed up the edges, if i need to edit frames i usually export them to PSP first, i wish they'd just intergrate animshop into PSP instead of having two different programmes...

there's a prog called MIDINight Express that can render midi to wav form, perhaps even mp3, i downloaded it a while ago but haven't used it yet...

i can't ever remember having to put copy protection codes into BASS, just buy yourself a copy of the origina cd-rom version, it's worth it, or there's a stupid free version for download at freeloader.com that doesn't need codes or anything and it works in windows, no talkie version though...

who hasn't been in Jordan ?

i think it's because most games players these days are young kids that would really understand adventure game puzzles, so they just prefer pretty graphics and repetative gameplay.

just been reading through all the old threads and noticed this question.
there's a good util called Multimedia Builder MP3 that's designed specifically for making auto-run menus (although you can make other stuff with it), the website is http://www.mediachance.com however, it's not free but i think there's a 30 day trial period, it's a pretty nifty prog to have...

that's pretty cool, i recognised it as being like Another World before i read the text, kinda reminds me a lot of Flashback too, i love that graphical style
