oh well thankyou for that mr. animation expert.
except it's totally untrue though.

i've found from personal experience and by watching other people (both in real life and in the media) that when walking, people hardly ever make that giant stride, so i think it's much more realistic to not have it.
people also tend to not swing their arms that much, i know i don't.
but it does kinda look as if the guy is in a rush becuase of both the shoe colours being the same colour/very similar colours, which if you're just looking at the legs makes it seem like a 3 frame animation.

edit: eh, kinda looks like he's skipping along now...

The writing in the diary has some grammar/spelling errors.  Nothing major, but little things (cosy instead of cozy) and some is/are mistakes.

cosy actually is the correct spelling, cozy is the americanisation of the word.

if you had bothered searching you would have found both this and this amongst other things.

General Discussion / Re: A UFO theory.
Thu 26/06/2008 15:45:49
QuoteI've said before that anyone here has the same oppurtunity as the next guy to see an alien craft, and if you really want too - you will.

that is the main problem i have with UFO sightings - people want to believe that what they're seeing is extra-terrestrial so to them there is no other explenation.
i mean, i can believe that the moon is a space station, but that doesn't mean that it is.
the kind of thinking behind "i don't know what it is so it must be alien" is not in the least bit rational.
believing that something is an alien UFO doesn't make it so, there have UFO sightings on earth for thousands of years and there are even prehistoric cave paintings of them but that alone doesn't make them real, and i bet you that a majority of people that do think they're real and that have seen UFOs are people that not only believe in them but who also watch too much star trek and sci-fi in general.
now, i don't really believe that earth is the only planet in the entire universe that has life on it, that just seems a bit narrow minded to me. but at the same time i don't believe that any species technologically advanced enough to travel at lightspeed or "shift between dimensions" would be stupid enough to let what is basically a much more primitive species see it and then zoom off or just disappear.
the same goes for people tha believe in ghost sightings too.
so in short then: believing something is real doesn't make it real.

i very much doubt there are any you can download for free or otherwise, but there is this site (which funnily enough should have showed up in your google results had you performed them correctly) which will do it http://www.translation-guide.com/free_online_translators.php?from=Japaneseo=English

personally i think software counts very little towards the quality of your sprites, a good sprite artist can create good characters with pretty much any software.
it's like the old saying: only a bad workman blames his tools.

General Discussion / Re: nmbukveo.dll?

you could also run msconfig and look in the Services and Startup sections for things that are being loaded at startup which you do not recognise, OR you could move the dll from the vault and then get it's file properties.
it's very strange that google doesn't yield any results, it's not even listen on windows process library...

i've been trying to get rid of stuff on ebay for weeks now, including my beloved Yamaha CS1x synthesiser, and i've only managed to sell my Commodore 64 so far, and a fine leather jacket that hasn't been paid for yet :/

ooh, awesome, you have Voyeur.
i bought that years ago through a mail order company but lost my copy, i may bid on it.  8)

i just tried out the Xbox 360 demo after finding it, it doesn't appear under demos but the game is listed under all games and from there you can download the demo.
it seems an okay game from the demo, dunno if i'd buy it though as it's not really my kind of game even if i do like the comic.

aha, rapidshare appears to be working for me again so i'm downloading it now.
oh yeh, by the way you don't have to include the .html on the end of a rapidshare link, in most cases i've found that causes my browser to try save the file as html or open it in the browser.
