indeed, it is rather fun.

we're note zealots! we're realists!
and our side washes, everyone knows that people who use linux can't afford soap, and if you've bought a mac you no longer have any money to.
but really, people shouldn't complain when the choices they make aren't compatible with the choices other people make and then expect them to do something about it. you know when you buy a mac you know that it's not going to be able to run stuff that isn't designed for it UNLESS you use windows on it, and really just what is the point in buying a mac if you're just going to use windows? you bought your mac now live with it!

Y'know generally the exercise goes 'write an angry letter to someone who's upset you, but don't post it...'

well you obviously never read all of this thread because Nine Toes already mentioned that

i felt it all the way here in Witham in Essex, i woke up after 1 and felt like i was moving about but just disregarded it as me either waking up moving about because of a dream, or a really big low flying plane even though i couldn't hear one. it actually felt more like somebody had slammed the front door but lasted a bit longer.

well whatever it is - i think i've found it's face...

to me it looks like a girl sitting on the top of a hill or edge of a cliff with her arm around a dog, her hair blowing in the wind.

if you're describing the same clip i've seen then it's not from an actual porn movie but a series that Channel 5 showed in the UK called A Girl's Guide to 21st Century Sex, and it just uses an internal camera, probably some kind of optical device like they use in keyhole surgery.

I think the real issue with all these overdraft charge horror stories we've been hearing about the banks and building societies in this country lately is the fact that people are allowing themselves to go overdrawn. Nobody can take money out of your account without authorisation very easily, and if you have any direct debits setup you should know when the money will be taken and make sure there is enough in the account to cover it.
It's just a simple case of people being charged for the convenience of being stupid, if you use a debit card to make a purchase knowing you don't have enough in the account then it's your fault you go overdrawn, and when taking money out through any ATM there is the option to check your account balance. But in this case I do think the bank just hasn't done their job properly, but still you should always make sure there's enough money in your account, and you obviously have the ability to check it online so there's not really any excuse for not knowing you're overdrawn when you could easily check.

BTW, I've been with HSBC for 11 years now and have never had any problems with them and in the rare case when I do go overdrawn (which is always my own fault) i've never been charged.

one thing worth remembering about using regions to change rooms is that you want to set the co-ords a few pixels to the outside of the region, i made that mistake a long time ago and my character just kept moving between the rooms and there was nothing i could do to stop it.

LGM was talking about the US Dell site, i doubt they offer any such discounts in the UK, and by EE i meant the Asus Eee. Personally if i could afford it i would buy the £359 Dell just for the better hardware which would ultimately be useless to me. but the Asus is good value and seems to have good reviews from people who bought it to do exactly what it's designed for.

the laptop prices on dell.co.uk are much higher than that of the EE, the only place where you might save money is in the small business section, but they're still more expensive. granted they are better, but i'm sure there are some requirements to get one of the business computers.
the cheapest home laptop is the Inspiron for £359, granted it's much more machine for not much more money, but the EE is smaller and more suited for very general use, and part of the cost of a Dell is for the OS too.

you could always get a USB hard drive or external hard drive enclosure to give you more space. it'd probably be worth spending a bit more money on something new with a warranty than taking a chance with something cheap on ebay, most of the cheaper laptops i've looked at on there don't come with batteries or have batteries that don't hold a charge for very long.

you can get a linux based laptop for £219 on play.com, it will run windows but you need a USB cd drive to install it. it's not terribly high specced but it still seems really neat. you can view it at Play.com

Mirek, the idea of this game is to make a new picture in MS Paint, not photoshop two pictures together.

last time i did a good deed was on my 20th birthday, i had a day out and spent lots of money (like £120 lots) in those claw machines and won like 40 stuffed toys and i gave half of them away to kids, and that's something i do a lot if i'm out on a winning streak (i am the KING of the CLAW!). i did the same thing many years ago while on holiday, i saw this little girl spend a bit of money trying to win this alien thing from one of those machines and she couldn't and went off a bit sad, so i stuck in some money and got it on the first try, i then went off to find her and gave it to her and she was really happy and ran around with it all night.
and, as a side note, i've been playing Knights of the Old Republic lately and gone through it helping people out, being nice and only earning light side points. and it's funny because i do this in just about every game i have the choice of being a nice person or a dick, even though there are no consequences and i don't actually effect anybody's life i often play through games being a good person. weird.
