i just managed to extract WAV and MID from a 2.71 compiled game with Multi Ripper 3 which i've uploaded to www.lacksawesome.com/mrip300b.zip
just move the game exe to the folder you extract the ripper to, then go into a command prompt, go to the mrip folder and type mrip game.exe, when the app starts you'll get a message about a portable EXE or something and a dialogue box, select yes and once it's done what it wanted to hit F6 and it'll scan the file for stuff it can rip and extract it to the folder you launched it from.

i used to have the game (i actually might still do, i haven't looked) and i know it runs under win98, but i never got up to a slider puzzle, the last one i remember doing was the cash register one which i did on my first try by accident but forgot to save and then could never do it again  :-\

No offense, but I don't see men flying down the freeway while trying to put on their makeup in the rearview mirror. :P

that's because we have the sense to do it before we leave  :-*

try exporting it as a PCX then loading it up in Graphics Gale and then saving the palette.
that's how i got it working with Paintshop Pro when i kept getting an invalid file error.

i've found that adaware can sometimes falsely accuse something of being a threat, such as certain cookies.

I am going to use this to ask if someone knows the steps to make transparencies in PSP's animating program (animation pro, 1.3 for me...)

i usually select all the frames, export them to PSP as a layered image, select the areas i want to be transparent and delete them to make them transparent.

i'd say it was already quite well compressed seeing as it's over 300mb decompressed and only a 24mb download so there's not actually really any reason to complain about it being big.

well you could have just posted in the Indigo Prophecy forums where it's more likely that somebody has actually played it and can give you advice, it seems a lot of people just use this forum as a means to be lazy instead of finding out stuff for themselves either through google or a game's official website.
i mean just the other day i wanted to know some stuff about magnetic levitation, so i visited wikipedia.
then the day before that i wanted a list of words most commonly spelled wrong, so i checked on google, and on the same day i wanted to know what people thought about Sensible Soccer 2006, so i visited the Codemasters forums and read a few posts.
so now i know how to build a maglev train, spell reccomend and that Sensible Soccer 2006 isn't really worth buying if you're interested in reliving the glory days and that it also doesn't have any online multiplayer, instead of being all annoyed because i asked on an adventure game making forum.

adsl is very limited in terms of choice as ALL suppliers go through BT servers, so pretty much all of the ISPs charge the same amount of money for a basic package.
cable is even more limited and not that widely available in the south, plus from what i've seen of it it's utter rubbish.
i only mentioned the aol broadband because he's already with them which would make the transition easier plus it's a trial period, there's really no need to install any software either, just bump the details into the modem/router and you're away.

aren't AOL doing DSL for £14 for the first 6 months right now on some kind of trial thing?
i'd recomment getting a router that also acts a modem, i know that the Netgear DG832 can connect up to 3 computers using network cable, but then all PCs then need a network adapter card and your dad's pc might not have a PCI slot...
besides the most obvious advantages such as speed there's also the added bonus of being able to leave the internet on during the day and still make and receive phonecalls.
