Anybody saw this?

Another great adventure false curse to the power of huh... 3d
Dont even bother lokoing up screen shots its just a dissapointment

Heres the link works fine in my browser

have you actually played the game?
it's almost not as bad as it looks, you do kind of get the impression they built the game around the 3d engine (and i don't just mean that it's a bad game because of the terrible engine), and not the engine around the game.
it really is a terrible engine with terrible textures, and even though the texture details has been increased in some of the places where it's needed (ie. signposts) it can still be difficult to make stuff out.
there are also too many references to it being a game, it's like they've just totally torn down the fourth wall rather than just maybe put a little window in it so they can peak out into the audience.
the bad engine doesn't make this a bad game though, nobody on the dev team having the balls to say "you know, this isn't actually looking that good and the game is kinda not up to the standard of the first two" does.

hmm, perhaps that's why i'm not getting any work done on my game, it doesn't have a website...

tai chi is just mime without the makeup

I'd rather fancy my chances beating up a mime than a tai chi master.

well it's another one of those eastern things (proper word escapes me at the moment) that has become a western fad like feng shui.
those people actually take it seriously whereas in the west it's become part of a trend culture, i mean you don't see people in the east having double mocha latte alpacino high colonic facial breast enlargement injections or chavin' it up do you?
america has no culture of it's own so it has to steal other countrys' and talk about them like it knows what it's on about, then most of the people in this country who think america is so bloody great start doing it too, only it's even more retarded when british people do it.
also, i bet gwen stefani does tai chi...

oh yeh, and you shouldn't go round trying to beat people up anyway (except mimes). :D

i'd try ableton but i find the price tag to be rather on the hefty side.
if i had the money i'd invest in that final scratch thing (two physical decks used to spin virtual vinyl), http://www.stantondj.com/v2/index.asp
mind you, if i was going to make music it would actually be making music with synths rather than just mixing.

any chance you could put together a track list? i'd like to hear the originals of a few of them.
i'm gonna burn it so my dad can listen to it :D
i've tried mixing in the past (the hard way using cooledit pro), after hearing this i want to give it another go...

i don't really mind dying that much in more "serious" adventure games, but in a game where you can store 20 large items on a character death seems out of place somehow.
other people dying in games however is totally acceptable :D

the only ones that get "ripped apart" are the ones that seemingly don't read the main and forum rules, start a thread asking something that could easily be found through google or wikipedia, OR say that they're rubbish at everything and want to assemble a team to make their game for them when they haven't even properly introduced themselves.
in most cases those types of threads get deleted but you've got to have a bit of fun every now and then...

i'd say pretty much all of it does with the possible exception of live music that is actually sung live and not mimed.
and most songs are recorded seperately from the music, the vocals are then edited and mixed.
machines have replaced the need for talent.

i'm kinda the same way when it comes to viruses, i have a virus scanner installed but i only ever run it if i'm not sure about a file or if my pc seems to not be acting strange.
some common sense and a good firewall is all anyone should really need, but then i've been using the internet since 1997 when viruses weren't really that common, PCs weren't running windows 2000 or xp and when there were a lot less "shoe" heads intent on "fluffing" somebody else's pc up.
the only time i've ever had a virus on this pc is back when i took it online for the first time, i was downloading a firewall and updating norton anti-virus at the time, it actually kinda did me a favour because i now know to make a drivers disk before attempting to install windows on a SATA hard disk...

nope, but  you do get a very rude host who doesn't even introduce himself to the forum members before deciding he's gonna host a compo just minutes after he joins the community.
#719
yeh, me too.
still, i had to pay £100 for it as dreamhost wouldn't accept adventure games as payment...
