Windows Update has never worked on my pc, all the updates fail to install, i don't see why the hell they can't just release single downloadable files like they used to instead of pimping their wares...

it was a useful idea at the time and was meant for faxes, something to do with callback code or something (this is back in the days of win3.11), but there weren't as many internet users back then who were shitheads that would exploit it.
stuff like that could be very useful but some turd would come along and exploit it.

Microsoft have been pretty stupid lately, first all that crap with the 360s, now another bug exposed in windows and they're trying to avoid it.Ã,  If they want people to actually support them in the future, they should really act more responsibly than releasing a bunch of buggy machines that they claim to have been "fully tested" and now trying to avoid an outcry about a serious bug by pretending it's not important.

i have it, it's poop.

heh, it just about works on windows, it's great game but it's full of bugs, one of which is stopping me from getting past a certain point.

well maybe not a few years, but if you already know how to type it's just a case of remembering where the keys are, plus not everyone is you.
the strange thing is though that i can never remember the exact order of the second and third row of letters if somebody asks, but when i'm typing my fingers just know where they are.

i've been typing with qwerty keyboards for nearly 10 years now and there's nothing i can't do with my twisted seized up clawfingers that other people can't do with their fingers!

speaking of keyboards, i've been considering getting the "das keyboard", none of the keys have any markings on them, but i don't think i'll ever switch to dvorak, i type furiously fast as it is, and if a dvorak keyboard could help me type faster (which i think would take a few years) i'd probably end up hammering my desk's legs through the floor...

my dad got a pc from my aunt that was running Spybot Search & Destroy, on further inspection i discovered that it was actually protecting the viruses that were on the pc, most of them trojans.
the best thing to do is keep a firewall running and don't install anything that comes with spyware.

i just did a google search and came across similar situations involving laptops, nigeria and bidpay, it seems as though it is a scam.

i would also like to change it so that Beneath a Steel Sky had more explorable areas, and it'd be so great if they made an updated version with higher resolution backgrounds (if they still have the original drawings), and i'd also change it so that they had made BASS2 when it was originally planned, which according to Dave Gibbons wasn't that long after they finished the first one.

i think just plain vanilla deathmatch will be fine, with translocators off ofcourse, so there's no wimping out
