after having played driv3r i personally hope that they never make another driver game ever again, it's the most frustrating and stupid game i've ever played.
sure it looks good but it's an awful game with terrible AI, physics and bugs so obvious that i often wonder if they just made up all the names for the quality assurance department in the credits.
i failed one mission 5 times because of a cardboard box launched my way by some bad guys that were hiding behind them, i would either end up standing on top of the box then shortly lose all my health or be hurtled backwards.
i also failed several missions because tanner preferred to just look at the car when i instructed him to get in it (which i am informed is a bug in driver 2 aswell).
the AI also "cheated" in car chase missions and i have a saved replay to prove it, some woman on a motorbike managed to ram cars and trucks out of the way without losing control or being killed like i would have been.
they also seemed fond of taking the piss out of rockstar and gta when in actual fact they should have played the games and learned from them, and whoever thought of putting that "Speed" mission in the game should be shot from a high speed cannon into a giant fan.
the only reason i actually played the game all the way to the end is because i was determined not to let it beat me... oh and so i could listen to the repetitive loops that i assume were an attempt at a soundtrack for hours at a time.

Secondly, I think you'll find that any decent historian will point out that most conflicts in the last 2000 years are essentially political and not religious.

and i think you'll find that you're talking bollocks, millions of people died in world war 2 just because hitler didn't like jews (well, there were other reasons), other people have been killed because they were said to be witches, and religious warfare still goes on to this day.
you find me one example of atheists declaring war on religious people and i'll eat a bowlful of cock, atheists used to be very secretive so that the religious masses wouldn't kill them.
and politics is often used as an excuse for religious people to kill eachother, in fact politics is no better than religion.

Well, that'd be nice if there was only ONE copy of your letters.Ã,  But there are THOUSANDS of ancient copies of books of the Bible, many extremely close to the date of the books' original publication, making it the most historically accredited book in existence.Ã,  I mean, we even take the background of the Trojan War in Homer's Odyssey for granted, and there's only a couple of ancient copies of that.Ã,  And then we have Josephus and other sources to back up the events of the New Testament, to say nothing of the archaelogical record.

the point i'm trying to make with the santa claus letter reference is that just because a letter is supposedly written by or to somebody doesn't mean that person exists or that the events took place, i could write a series of fictional letters right now and bury them somewhere and in 1000 years time somebody could discover them and jump to the conclusion that because they're dated back 1000 years that they must be real and the events actually happened because they're ignorant as to what actually did happen.

they don't work because the use of drugs carries no consequences other than the associated good feelings and eventual addiction.

I don't have a relationship with my wife in order to "justify my existence". Simililarly, I don't have a relationship with God in order to justify my existence. You really fail to understand what its all about and subsequently get all het up and make a fool of yourself with ill-thought-out rants.

i'm not at all het up, i take my atheism as seriously as religious people take their beliefs, therefore i am able to have a religious conversation without getting angry at people that don't share my beliefs.

the fact of the matter is religion is to blame for the majority of all hatred, killing and war of the last 2005 years.
also there was never much gun crime in the uk before the ban, and the ban only came after a bunch of kids were killed which is another perfect example of the government's "too little too late" mentality.
and drugs aren't banned, they're illegal to make, sell and posess them, it's not illegal to use them, and if they were legal there wouldn't be more of a drugs problem than there already is.

and just so you know mr peepwood, all atheists have different ideas, the only thing we have in common is we don't feel the need to believe in any supreme beings to try justify our existence and all the stuff that happens in the world.

the reason behind the attacks was religious hatred not the fact that it's easy to do, the only solution to stop the attacks is an outright worldwide ban of religion but that's not going to happen so i guess people are going to continue to kill eachother and generally be stupid.

If you are referring to my post as pathetic, BOYD, I believe you misinterpreted what I was saying.

i wasn't really referring to anybody's post, just the general attitudes towards trying to justify or injustify and things that are said after a seemingly religiously motivated attack like this.
like i said, i believe in revenge but only on those people responsible, which if you think about it is pretty impossible as the people responsible for all the bad stuff of back then are now dead as are the people that went through it.
