that statement kind of confuses me, it's a programme designed to replace paint on all windows operating systems but only works under XP?

it's because they're either sad pathetic people with no friends, hate microsoft, use linux or think it's funny.
well, i'd like to see how funny they'd find me setting them on fire or injecting viruses into them.
when i first got my new pc (win2k), within a few minutes of me connecting to the internet i got 127 viruses, ironically i was downloading norton anti-virus updates and a firewall at the time...
i only run a virus scan about once every when i can be bothered, my firewall seems to give me enough protection, and i only really download torrents which are mostly virus free...

now it's not my intention to cause any offence but i'm gonna say it anyway, i think this photoshop idea sucks, how can people be creative when you're telling them what to do?
surely something revolving around christmas would have been better and probably generated more entries, perhaps something like "reasons santa claus won't be delivering presents this year..." or- ah what's the point, nobody's going to listen to me anyway, yes yes yes i know i could have set the "rules" if i had entered and won the last competition, but really...
anyway, that's just how i feel, it'll probably turn out to be the best photoshop competition ever or something...

i've been planning to do this for a game i've been brewing for about a year now, only i was going to use solid shading rather than wireframes.
i also once used this technique to help me draw a chair because i totally suck at drawing chairs, but then again i'm not exactly a great 3d modeller either.
it's a good idea for those of us that don't really like to stray too far away from primitive shapes...

so basically what you mean is somebody comes up with a photo and the rest of use just trace it? that's not very challenging and every entry would be near enough the same, i don't think it's a very good idea for a competition.

well, Scream Tracker is actually used to create the S3M file, the only other file it can output (if i remember right) is MOD which is more limited than S3M, if IT works fine in AGS, then get Impulse Tracker, load the S3M into it, then save it as an IT.
ofcourse, something such as Modplug Tracker could also do it (Modplug Player even lets you)...
converting you're basic music format to midi is very tricky, best thing to do is look for a midi version that already exists, or if it is MOD/XM/S3M/IT modplug tracker can export to midi and lets you set option for instruments but it's really crappy and it's easier to do it yourself.
