Fruity Loops does have a soundfont plugin, but unless it's a registered *ahem* copy then you won't be able to save, but one thing you could do if you have a decent soundcard with nice midi sounds is create a midi out channel and set the port number to 1 so that it uses your soundcard rather than rely on Fruity LSD or the gm.dls, or if it's FLStudio then it's a simple matter of just adding a Midi Out channel and again setting the port to 1...

you should try using smudging to blend colours and sharp lines.
i like to work with pastels but haven't done anything for a while, and when i do it's pretty abstract, unfortunately i don't have anything scanned on this pc so i can't give an exampl.
nice pic btw...

it shouldn't be possible to copyright an idea because there is no such thing as a unique thought, just look at the invention of the telephone for example, or the television, or even the computer, in the long run i suppose copyrights are a good idea, but only if they're done properly (ie people not just sticking © or â,,¢ or just saying it's copyrighted), but i'll stand by my argument that you can not copyright a word, phrase or even a letter.
also, if i made a commercial game then yeh, i probably would copyright it, but only to stop people taking credit for the original work and not to stop them making fan based games or mods because i appreciate my fans, whereas a lot of these big companies that shut down mod projects don't, they just appreciate their own greed.
so to sum it up, copyrighting is both a good and bad thing which seems to work like this: if it works in your favour then it's a good thing, if it doesn't work in your favour then it's a bad thing, or something...

i think copyrights do go too far, especially when people patent phrases or a word (you're not allowed to print a t-shirt that says FUCK on the front because FCUK own those letters no matter what order they appear), i think unless you invent the word yourself then you have no right copyrighting it, also i'm not entirely sure that companies have the right to shut down mod projects that are based on their games UNLESS they use copyrighted material, they mostly just make legal threats, whereas in actual fact they're just afraid that you'll do a better job than them, personally i totally ignore copyrights, i'll pirate music, movies, games and do anything else i can to fight the system, and if it's from a company like EA then i'll pirate two copies of it, hell they tell you to "Challenge Everything", i'm challenging piracy laws!

Sara and Sarah are pronounced differently, no?

depends, Sara is sometimes pronounced Sa-Ra, although my aunt used to go out with this posh bloke that pronounced my sister's name (Sarah) as Sara because he was a nob

did it have people with speakers for faces?
a description of the actual tune would be better, i think more people hear music than see videos...

can the demo export midi files?
i've been using flstudio to make midi a lot lately, especially now i've figured out how to make it use my soundcard's sounds rather than the GM.DLS sounds, a selection of which can be found here which i'm going to be using in a game i'm making called Mr. Angry's Walk In The Park :D

the most colours you can have in the amiga versions of dpaint is 4096 in HAM mode, or atleast in Deluxe Paint 4 on a non-AGA machine (i had and still have an Amiga 600), in Deluxe Paint 3 i remember 64 colours being all i could have, but back then, and probably even now, i didn't even need all those colours...

Igm:
Deluxe Paint 2 isn't all that good. Unles I downloaded the wrong program. I think nothing beats PSP. But if you want to stick to the basics MS PAINT has awerithing you actualy need. I used it for all my games.

the amiga versions of dpaint are much better than any pc graphics editor, as they can all work with limited palettes (i mean things like gradient fills and proper rotation without fuzzing up the graphics), if i could get an amiga emulator working better on this pc i'd probably use Deluxe Paint IV to do all my art work.
also, did you know that id software used dpaint2 to do the graphics for all their games (well, FPS anyway) up until quake3? :)

well, let's just hope "repaired" doesn't mean "reformat"

please see this: Sign the World of Warcraft on Linux petition!
every linux user on Adventuregamestudio forums, please sign under this petition, and maybe we could getting a World of Warcraft on Linux

even if they all did you're still not gonna have that many names, choosing linux over windows for gaming is like choosing water over petrol for starting fires...
i'm sure if games developers thought it was worth their while developing games for linux they'd be doing it, plus you'll need a credit card to play WoW, and something tells me you're not quite old enough to own one...

why not put the ACR thread in every forum?

hmm, does your graphics card have TV-Out by any chance?
also, now i dunno if this will work, but you could try using a Win95/98/ME startup disk (floppy) and then using it to totally delete your graphics card drivers, this may force XP into thinking that you just have a bog standard VGA card (or make it worse)...
also, if your monitor has an on screen display, try making sure that the brightness and contrast are turned up, i don't think windows can change your actual monitor's settings, but you could try it, it could just be a problem with your monitor rather than your pc...

glad you both like  :D

i tried it out on my phone too (Sagem my-G5), it sounds a bit odd because i have a very limited set of sounds, but it still sounds cool  :)
