Parallel to the road. C'mon, does it need to be explained? :P

I....don't really see this as much of an issue. Then again, I've never met an "in-your-face" militant girl gamer.

Actually, if I remember right, the King's Quests with Graham (both the 1s, 2, and 5) didn't have it as a separate background, but rather as a GUI on the background where you died.

In this case, you'd have to create a new death GUI, put a label for the title, put a label for the text to show when the player dies, and put an image (which you can then change the slot of, depending on the death). Aside from that, you'd have to add Restore, Restart and Quit buttons.

Ah. Well. Must be a sign, then :P.

Simplest method would just be to stop coming here?

Ryan may be right, but doing a little haxoring on my part, perhaps this link would work for you:

Deleting the Account of ShadowRifter666 by ShadowRifter666

I'm kinda surprised at how willing I am to help you get rid of your account ;D

There should DEFINITELY be an action for you in this link.

Will miss you, and your probing GUI linkage questions!

Edit: Added the ">" so WHAM won't kill me :O

I seem to remember there already being a Home Alone game...maybe it was for one of the consoles? If I'm remembering right, it was a sort of 2D platformer thing whereyou had some time to set up all the traps. then the enemies would come rushing in.

Before the barrage of flaming that is sure to ensue (and honestly, Icey, your post seems tailored exactly to be flamed :P), it's C++, not C+. And yeah, they are very different languages.

I'd suggest figuring out C#. It's a lot easier to use and get into than C++ for many people. If you've coded some in C++, you shouldn't have too much difficulty with C#. And yeah, you need C# for coding for you 360.

The Big Lebowski?
Hahahahaha...I thought that too at first. But I think that was green nail polish :D

Monkey Island 1/2 theme, Grim Fandango a bit I guess (although interestingly enough I didn't enjoy it as much when I listened to it outside the game), Loom, KQ6 (specifically Girl in the Tower), Conquest of Longbow, Quest for Glory (especially that tune... you know which I mean, I just don't know what the title was).

Hilariously enough, 3 of my favourite adventure game musicians all have their names starting with M: Michael Land, Mark Seibert and Mark Lovegrove. :P

Heh...turns out I've been a member since Oct 2009. At least it's been spruced up a bit since then...

It's great to hear this!

MORE TIME TO MAKE GAMES! :P
#1234
When I'm surfing the forums it makes a handier and less cumbersome method to get to the games rather than hunting around the line of text on top for the "Games". So yeah...I do too :P.

Although this does seem a valid thing to have as an AGSWiki page...

I believe that game in the 3rd image is either a game or a demo by Jetxl...but I'm too lazy to do more than a cursory search right now...

A bit of a plug, but the main thrust of my tutorial compilation deals with this.

It was taken from this doc by Rodekill, if you want to view it separately. All very good advice.

You got the Roger Wilco reference backwards ;D. Space Quest got the name from the radio procedure:

Roger (like how people say "Roger!" when you give them a command...like "I got that!")
and Wilco is for "Will Comply"

So if someone told you something to do over radio, you could say "Roger. Wilco".

...thus ends the lesson...

General Discussion / Re: How to name a game
Tue 26/07/2011 10:05:27
Unless you have a name that immediately springs to mind, or has an intrinsic connection with the game or something, I don't think it really matters.

I just randomly chose "Alien Time Zone" by trying to think up some original combination of stock terms that related to time or time travelling.

Monkeyspank alive :O

But yeah, this was posted before already. Silly n00bs.

Again, I swear I'm not specifically picking on you or anything, you're just as weird (:P) as anyone else here on this forum, and even though you apparently pretend to be me sometimes (I still don't quite understand that ;D) everyone is one big family and blah blah, but Monkey, your initial post didn't sarcastically (or otherwise) make fun of his grammar at all.

You mocked the fact that he unsurely asked if people had heard of the N64 (a console that may well possibly be older than him), and his hurried (and obviously ill-thought out) "rules" for this activity he wanted to participate in.

I just want to point out that just because it is Icey posting, that shouldn't mean everyone HAS to participate in some sort of mass mockathon. If his posts annoy someone to such an extreme level, people should ignore him.
