Nonono, at least for me, it wasn't an email informing me. It was a big red bar across my Gmail inbox that said "Your account has had suspicious activity recently, click here to learn more", and clicking opened up that "Recent Activity" list (which is also accessible from the bottom of your gmail page.
#1262
My account was also recently (as well as a couple months back) accessed from China. It may possibly even have been the same date! (June 1st)! It isn't showing the IP on the "Recent Activity" list any longer, however, so I'm not sure if I could compare with you :(.

Personally, I blame Gilbert :D. He's probably secretly behind all major events in the world, subtely pushing them into the place he wants them, and accessing our accounts is obviously part of that. :=

I changed my password both times.

My vote also goes to Ponch, although....honourable mention to Stee for involving me in some sort of OSD: Hobo Quest Eternity? :D

Actually, I'm not sure "towers" or columns of coins make any sense, certainly not in the centre of the pile. If it belongs to a dragon, it might sit on top of it (and thus mess up any columns that may have been there originally), but it's not going to spend it's time (or probably even be able) to be piling it up in columns.

Also, the columns you have right now seem to be a different shade of yellow? If you are going to have columns, I'd suggest they be a lot more haphazard and scattered around, but if you remove them, you should probably up the contrast (and increase the "noise" or sharp edges showing) on the rest of the pile, because without them, it may possible just look like a pile of sand.

PS: I can't seem to remember that screen from Monkey Island 3 at all :O

I'd like to point out (and not just as a response to you, Duals), nobody was actually being "treated bad" here. I can't speak for everyone in this thread, but I'm really pretty sure that when someone says that beer is better than women, they don't actually literally mean that women are inferior to a bottled beverage. It's a joke.

And yeah, some people might whine and moan about tasteless jokes, but...poo :P.

There really was no ideal of womaniness that was being attacked in here so that someone needed to come in and feel good about themselves by defending it.

Yeah....so anyhow.....
This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looked so sad in photographs....
I absolutely love her, when she smiles

Are the two depicting the same thing exactly?

The second one is certainly more unique, and would give your game a fairly unique look.
Plus, I'm assuming the 2nd type would take slightly less effort to make than the first anyhow.

The first is a bit messed up as far as perspective goes, by the way.

The white knight re-appears!

PS: You've not heard of Naipaul? Anyhow, being an asshole doesn't make you a bad writer. In most cases it seems to help :D.

I prefer the oldies anyhow. Aristotle! St. Augustine!  :=

Yay women! ;D

I prefer cheap black people too....I mean, no matter what you pay, they're probably going to last just as long....

Does this slow down your connection speed, though, then? Because grim's idea appeals to me. TAKE THAT, HULU! :D

I always thought that "Pick of the Month" WAS exactly for this sort of thing?
Not something that everyone in the community has already played and enjoyed recently, but instead something that was fun, but maybe less famous, or something that was famous a couple years ago, etc.

Perhaps have the "Woodsman" as the superclass to the Lumberjack (instead of the other way around)?

Like...a Woodsman would have everything to do in general with the woods, and it could be divided into Ranger and Lumberjack.

Rangers would have better stealth in woods (use the forest more effectively to hide), while lumberjacks would have better protection (use the forest and wood available more effectively to protect themselves), with them both having better movement than other classes (know the paths, or know how to traverse), and perhaps higher health regeneration (know where to get the animals or herbs and stuff).

Scaling text is certainly one of the ways that the text disappears and reappears, but (insofar as my own system is concerned,) I don't think that's the main problem. I don't usually mess with the default size of the text, but if text disappears (here, or in facebook, or in something else), I scale it down, it comes back, I scale it up, it disappears, I scale it up again, it is still disappeared, I scroll down, and then scroll back up, and it comes back, sometimes it doesn't.

Just to test, I disabled ALL the plug-ins and extensions, and I STILL have this problem.

Oddly enough, GoG uses Dosbox to run the game. Maybe they also released a dos version of the game?
It seems playable so far, although it has a couple graphical glitches. Thing is: I'm on 32bit Windows XP.
#1275
7 was made in that troublesome little slot of time where the games weren't DOS games, but only worked on windows 98.

So Dosbox doesn't work.
It isn't supported by ScummVM yet either.

I still have the original KQVII on CD (with the box and manual and everything), and it doesn't run anymore :(, but I think my problem is different one particular file (and not any other) got corrupted, and it doesn't run properly.

I bought 7 off GoG again recently, when it was having a deal on those games, although I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, as I've been busy playing other games.

I agree with Khris :D

If you are going to change the spelling of the text, try not to have the new spelling look like other words (like the Office Crabtree examples you provided), unless the accent is MEANT to be a joke (as it seems from the examples. I only know Officer Krupke, and he wasn't in anything called Allo Allo :P)- it makes reading it very difficult, and since it is speech text, it'll pass too quickly, and people might miss stuff.

I was sure I had posted this already...weird that I cannot find it. Some particular phrases may have been misheardingly stolen :D:
_______________________________________________________________

"Affair most probably pleasant!", yelled monotonously, the man persecuting prosecutingly.

"Aye, a hatchet to the chrome", said swinely the solicited advocate, "We are brothers forever. More, let us pie".

"Aha! Having caught you out, your sister is not your mother! YOU are the sister", persisted the persecuting prosecutor morely, "Your Highness, I move the bishop!"

The king looked on injection, hammered hurtfully the bailiff: "Now listen you carefully, his words are about to explode!"

"DON'T TURN AROUND!" sonored purpley, the bleeder, promptly bleeding the three who turned to see who not was turned; "Now then, criminal, hear me your say!"

"Most majestically elevated, they plotted to suppress and depress and undress me!", began blubbered the base bastard, "Now nothingness is dead and...."

"WHY", rudely regent raged "DO YOU EAT?!"

The accused, uncertained, attempted answer "Why, I eat so others may starve, mine most Mercying Monarch".

Aghast, agape, aplomb, attorneys, the two centred swiftly the sovereign in sight, and deadingly demanded doom.
Emperor executed, and glutton guillotined got free.

"Affair most providently pleasant", monotoned yellingly the perturbed prosecutor. "Let us pie".

"Aye, a hatchet to the chrome. Drink us the wine, there are convicts outside".
