Messages - Babar

That movie was so bizarre in it's misunderstanding of Hindu dietary habits and hilarious hindi cusses.

As long as we're talking about weird dishes from different countries, while the images of these dishes are probably not going to disgust anyone, a breakfast delicacy in Pakistan is Brain Masala:

And for dinner there is takatak, which is a dish made from chopped up goat balls, kidneys, brains (again) and other such left-overs. The name comes from the rhythmic noise made when the cook is chopping them all up together on a griddle over an open flame:

If you don't know what it is (or you don't care), they can actually be quite tasty :P.

No Action Jackson, Apprentice (2, I think?), and then...something.

This topic comes up so regularly, that the response "This topic comes up so regularly" comes up so regularly. I was sure something was done to handle it (something in the wiki, mouse-over text, stickied thread), but it seems it is not so. Or at least I cannot find it.

Wow Khris...how did you manage that? ;D

I chose the most atheistic of responses I could think of, and I still go nowhere the number of 0%s you did.

I think you are understanding this quiz the wrong way, actually. I mean we all (I hope) know what we believe. We won't be expecting something else to show up at the top, although it's funny when it does. The remainder are the interesting ones, showing how far we agree with tenets and viewpoints of other religions we wouldn't have thought outselves connected with. For example, I'm certainly not a jew in the tradtional sense (and only a "Reformed Jew" if you REALLY stretch the meaning of reformed :P).

EDIT:
Actually, if I Not Applicabled EVERYTHING, I got the following percentages, with 0% for everything else:
1.    Nontheist (100%)
2.    Secular Humanism (100%)
3.    Unitarian Universalism (61%)
4.    Liberal Quakers (38%)
5.    Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (33%)
6.    Neo-Pagan (19%)

So I guess they're really taking a liberal interpretation of Liberal Christian :D

yo mate, ok I`ll give you my trick but if you give it someone else I`ll fuckin kill you :)
you know in roulette you can bet on blacks or reds. If you bet $1 on black and it goes black you win $1 but if it goes red you loose your $1.
but I found a way you can win everytime:

bet $1 on black if it goes black you win $1

now again bet $1 on black, if this time it goes red (or one of 2 green fields) bet $3 on black, if it goes red again bet $8 on black, if red again bet $20 on black, red again bet $52 on black (always multiple you previous lost bet around 2.5), if now is black you win $52 so you have $104 and you bet:

$1 + $3 + $8 + $20 + $52 = $84 and you won $52 + yours $52 = $104 So you just won $20 :)

now when you won you start with $1 on blacks again etc etc. its always bound to go black eventually (it`s around 50/50 and you always bet around 2.5, I never had more then 7 reds/green in the raw and possibility to have 9 times the same color is like 1/milion) so that way you eventually always win. But there`s a catch: if you start winning too much (like $1000 a day) casino will finally notice something and they can ban
you. I was banned once on royal casino. So don`t be a greedy asshole and don`t win more then $300 a day and you can do it for years. And remember it`s not a "win 30k in one day" trick, it`s a way to get a steady income of around 5-8k bucks a month for a next couple of years tax free :). I think bigger casinos know that trick so I only play on smaller ones, right now I play on gold vip casino: www.goldviptables.com for around
6 months, I win $100-$200 (max $300) a day and my account still works, I already made almost 45k in that casino and hope to make much much more. You just have to download casino games, register and you can start, you`ll find roulette there when you log in go to "specialty games". And don`t you dare talling about it anyone else, if too many people knows about it casinos will finally found a way to block that trick. If you have any questions just drop me a line here or on skype.

c ya

I think it's more a matter of (as I said) loads of people here being dirty atheists :P.

The dirty atheist package seems remarkably similar for everyone. You get Secular Humanism and Unitarian Universalism as your first two, followed by Nontheist, Neo-Pagan  and some kind of Buddhism (generally Theravada) in some sort of order.

EVERYBODY is a Liberal Quaker :D.

Perhaps odd, being as this is on the heels of my previous thread in here about politics, but I thought it might be interesting to find out this stuff too. I know you're mostly all a bunch of dirty atheists, but what ELSE are you? :D
Unfortunately, I don't think a fancy graph could be made of this information, but you can still paste your results in this thread.

Belief-o-Matic Quiz
It's a pretty old quiz, and you've probably done it before (maybe even on the AGS forums, although I couldn't find it), but do it again anyhow!

If that is the case, I'm somewhat surprised they were able to get Bruce Davison...

I'm not sure what language Calin is suggesting (oh, he tells me it is a dos command), but the way I do it, is using winrar, and then setting it to "Do not store paths" in the advanced options. After it is all archived, you can unrar it wherever you want.
Probably more convoluted than Calin's method, but it works :D.

Adventure Club? It's pretty simple and easy to remember, if not very mysterious. And I believe adventure-club.com is available.

Third post of what could've all been in 1 post :D

Another idea is have it arranged as it is now, but instead of the entire face, just have the eyes/s and mouth/s showing in each area.

While it may ruin or complicate the shield motif if you remove one of the ordinaries, one idea is having only 1 bigger face, where you can click the eyes or the mouth? Then maybe you could use the second area for an inventory button.

I'm not too worried about the size of the banner, unless you game is in a really high resolution?

The hand is obvious enough, but I think you should change the look(?) and talk(?), because even with the 2nd image showing them after having the mouse over them, I can't tell which is which.

I'm glad to know that the problem isn't as rare as I thought it was. I hope they fix it quick.

And yeah, that switching about of the New Tab and New Window sorta irritated me as well, but Al Ninio told me something I hadn't known before: you can open a link in a new tab by clicking it with the middle mouse button, which while it's still taking time for me to get used to, is definitely faster than 2 clicks.
#1319
How odd. I'm not using a theme either, though....
#1320
I googled around a bit, and perhaps because I don't know what words exactly to search with, I've not been able to find a solution to this problem, so I was hoping the good people of AGS could help me.

Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 4, I've been having issues with text disappearing.
Facebook and Hotmail are 2 sites where this is fairly consistent. The text disappears (or loads invisible), and then with mouseovering or scrolling the text reappears, but then after a bit, it disappears again.

Hotmail is the same- I can't see any of my mail. The problem even pops up (but much more rarely) on these forums, but disappears with a little scrolling or with refreshing.

From some vague information off one of the few places I could find where someone mentioned having a similar problem, apparently, some issue with the css in those pages/sites is to blame?
Does anyone know how to fix it?

PS: And yeah, hahah, but please, suggesting "Switch to Chrome!" or "Switch to Opera" is not really helpful :P
