Yikes! Cales a male! Cales a Male!!!

it isn't really fair to hate a movie without watching it. Watch it halfway and then say it sucks. You will be much more believable then. Of course, you don't have to GIVE at sh!te whether people beleive you.
As for my own contributions, I would like to add "Princess Diaries". I have not seen a movie with a stupider moral. Oh, and Haddas, I believe you are referring to "Crossroads".

hehe...I can see her smiling like that while blasting things up in that huge machine

Thanks for your compliment though. I really appreciate it. I just came up with the guy to show how I had followed the help to make a new guy. I don't think I will actually be using it in a game. The overcoat by itself would probably make it impossible for me to make a walk cycle.
Also, can someone please help give me ideas about the shading? I did not really use shading in my sprite (except to differintiate the nose from the rest of the face (another problem, can someone please help me with how to draw noses in such a small space? (woohoo brackets in bracketsÃ,  ;D ))).

when you post something, click post, you are taken back to the forum page instead of the thread that you posted in

I don't know about funny signs, but you should see the trucks here. This is the norm. All trucks look like this. Some people may find this looking nice, but then they must be nuts. Also, if the "this-type-of-car-means-the-owner-is-gay" rule was right, then all of these guys would be gay, which is not likely ;D.

POSTURE POSTURE POSTURE, that and hairstyle.

The first thing that hits me when looking at these characters is that they all have the same hair and posture. Try using different stances, one leg slightly bent maybe, or hands in pockets.
I tried what you said about the hair, but it was getting so complicated in the space I had that I just gave him a hat instead. I gave him an overcoat too, just for character. Also, if it is not TOO much trouble, could you PLEASE give me an example of a a unique posture that could be normal for game? just a quick thing, please.

think I know number 6. Weird..

The reason they all look the same is that their facial features are all the same proportions- Little eyes, big mouth, all the same distance from each other.. Study some photos of people and try to pick out things that make their faces different from each other. Then try to apply what you've noticed to your characters.

Also, why are you using just a curved line for the mouth? Nobody grins like #2 without opening their mouth, and no sane person walks around with a smile frozen of their face. The easiest way to draw a normal looking mouth is to make a dark line for the upper lip, and a light line for the lower lip.
It is very likely you know number 6, I got the face off the netÃ,  ;D. I tried changing the facial features. I removed the "whites" of the eyes (I noticed a lot of sprites that do that), and I think I got the eyes closer together. I gave him stubble that partially hides his mouth, which is a short line now. Is it better? Anything else to improve?

i love number 2 lolÃ,  ;D
heheh....thanks I think? It was an early version of number 5. I did improve though didn't I? ;D

Thanks for the comments. I made a new guy from all the help you gave. He looks very different from the others, but I think that is only due to the more prominent stubble, overcoat and the hat. It is supposed to be a down-on-luck sailorman. Any comments on the new one?

here is my problem. See all my characters? They all look (almost) the same. My characters are all generic. They have the same face, expressions and no individuality. The exceptions (I think) are number 5 and, the one I am most proud of, 6. This is because I made them by shrinking a face from a photograph and clearing it up a bit. It only looks good because he is SUPPOSED to have stubble. So, can someone please give me some tips on how to make them better?

The female alien's (what I am supposing she is, for all I know it could be an alien male  :o ) seem too well defined, as if she is not wearing anything on top of them.

No! You are missing the dinosaurness of the post. The name says Stonesour, which implies stonasaur, which implies dinosaur. Therefore trr must mean Tyrannosaurus Rex, which is being used to show the stagnation of the posters mind in the ways of the old

wow... I did not think there would be such a huge outcry against my comment. Don't you see? I liked it. It was 80s. It was...um....slightly less lame than other lame movies, and therefore it was my favourite slightly less lame than other lame movies movie of the 80s. I never knew there was another movie of it though. I will have to see that now. Maybe it will cause me to end up taking it back. Also, even though Babloyi is not my name, it is as good as any alias I can think of.
*Babloyi hides from two angry bears and B&T mob*

And voodoo! Use voodoo in the game. Wait... maybe you have voodoo already. I see Guybrush has a voodoo doll. As for characters, add the cannibals. ;D

Lame movie? How come the ultimate favourite lame movie has still to be mentioned? Yup, I am talking about:

...turns out to be an enormous hotdog. Delighted, John ravenously devours the hotdog. However, the hotdog has a strange effect on him. He suddenly starts shrinking. Seeing the banana appear, he darts into a hole in a rock. He suddenly finds himself infront of a strange magical temple. The priestesses all seemed to be welcoming him to eat them. In a few minutes, the whole population of the underground temple is devoured. John goes to the altar room to find the mystical ...

...green tutu.  CJ said out the magical incantation that caused both the people to fall down and start crying: "AGS IS TO BECOME SHAREWARE!!". Seeing their plight, he consoled them, and told them it was just a joke. John's sadness dissapating, he finally ask the question: "CJ, why are you wearing a tutu?", however, before a reply could be given, the Trench coat man tossed his chicken at them. John, saw his doom fast approaching, but was paralysed. He could not move. Suddenly, from the sidelines, someone jumped forward and intercepted the projectile chicken. Although mortally wounded, the person smiled since they had been saved, and said:...

Favourite food?
This could be a long list.
kebabs, spicy roast chicken, biryani (spicy rice dish with bunch of meats/veggies/fruit added to taste), fried boiled egg and potato, chow mein, hot pot, dumplings, chinise fried rice, chicken manchurian, thai noodle soup (very vague name, I am not sure what it is called, it tastes much better than it sounds), o-malli (no idea how it is spelt), maashi (kind of stuffed cucumber), plain old bowl of boiled rice, boiled rice with butter and molasses, sheperds pie, pizza, hot dogs, lasagna, spaghetti (in white sauce)....ummm I think it is better if I said:
QuoteFood, basically. ESPECIALLY food that's bad for you
*EDIT*
And cheese! I love cheese too! all kinds, even processed. And chips! With loads of chilli powder on top. And tacos and....I am going to stop now

dang.....I am SURE I saw that recently. I just can't remember where!
As for my favourite kitchen appliance, the huge drainer thing. I don't know what it is called, it is like a huge pot with holes in it. Nothing more satisfying than shaking it and watching the water get out. Simplicity all the way! None of those hi-tech internet fridges!

General Discussion / Re:My Amazing Adventure

One adventure like moment:
My room got locked from the inside once, so I had to try get back into it. The good thing is that it was connected to another room through a bathroom. The problem was that the bathroom had, for some reason, been divided in two with a wall. The craziest thing is that the wall only went a bit up, and did not meet the ceiling, so there was a gap (I don't know what was wrong with the previous owners, they did that).
ANYWAY:
I went to the bathroom from the other side
CLIMBED shower stall and LOOKED over the wall.
HUGE FALL
so, I went out, and PICKED UP a few cushions from the couch outside
back in the bathroom, I DROPPED a few over the wall so that the landing would be softer
I LOOKED over the wall again.
THE FALL STILL LOOKED DANGEROUS
I went out again, and TALKED with my cousin (who was living with me at the time) about jumping the wall
I offered to do his Homework if he jumped the wall. He agreed
I took him there. He jumped over the wall and landed on the cushion.
Seeing his fall and his the results, I jump down as well, but using the door knob to land on, to shorten the fall.
I get in my room
PICK up the key
and UNLOCK the door!
Woohooo!

hehe... I am seeing potential in this. Each newbie could be assigned a mentor, who would guide the newbie with the way of the AGS. Once the newbie is sufficiently "learned", he can take on his own disciple. This way, through the cycle of master and disciple, the seperate mentor creeds and the way of AGS can be passed on through the generations. I suggest a name for the 1st creed. The creed of Mandarb, with the mentor DARTH MANDARB! Bwahahahahahhahahaha!
