You could do the scene in 3D and then and little details to kind of 2Dify the the scene. Something like James Kay said

General Discussion / Re:Sex and Dating.

Although this has little to do with all that has been discussed so far, one thing that surprises me is the evolution of this so called "love" and "sex and dating". Humanity has to reproduce to survive. So what did Nature do? It made them ENJOY doing....umm...
*Babloyi thinks for a euphemism that has not been used yet*
...jig-jig  ;D. Of course, that, which while perhaps helped in reproduction, caused a whole bunch of moral problems, and then what? Someone thought up contraception.

that line totally reminds me of the old knight in Indiana Jones: Last Crusade ^_^
Someone brought that up! The poor knight! He stayed for 800(?) years in a temple underground with no one else. I wonder what he did to pass time?

I'm gonna be 18 till I die! Gonna be 18 till I die!
Sure feels good to be alive, someday I'll be 18 going on 55
Yup, thats right, I am 55 :D
Of course I have the maturity of a 9 year-old, as everyone likes to tell me. I tend to agree happily. If being mature means that I can't run around everywhere, climb trees and jump from balconies (but only if they are 1st storey ones), I don't ever want to be mature

People cry for very strange reasons, even me. A friend of mine saw some Johnny walker "Keep walking" ad on tv about some footballer guy who missed a goal, and then years later he tried again and scored. It caused my friend to have a tear. Even me, there was a movie once about an invisible rabbit (Harvey...?) and at one scene some person slammed the door on another guy (I forgot who, on the rabbit or on some boss guy..?). That got me to quietly sob. Of course, I was not exactly a grown man at that time, though, I was 9 or 10. It did not turn out all bad though, as my sister promised to help me get past a part I had got stuck in Indiana Jones if I told her why I cried :). Last time I got "fuzzy eyes" was when I was leaving Egypt and realised I might not ever see my friends again.

wow......
Incredible. You are searching for BGs to edit? That is not exactly my way of working, rather tooooo detailed, but in a warped way. You've got your very own stylistic BG there :D! I may be opening a black hole here, but how did you do that? Also, who are you? It says you transferred from the ezboards, but you have total of less than 100 posts, except now!

You like Eminem? He is such a moron! ;D
I agree with you that it is basically harmless. You can say it affects (or is it effects) people the same way violence in video games affect people. It mostly depends on the type of person, not the type of violence.
I don't understand peoples attitude about rap music. It is just music. It is in no way better as a genre than for example rock. I mean it is Ok to go "Ohh I like this singer, his lyrics are so deep" and nonsense like that, but in the end it is just music. It is entertainment. It is created by the musician for selling so that money can be earned. Same for rap. This attitude is not only restricted to these Forums. Friends of mine who live in the US even have this attitude where if someone listens to rap, that person is somehow different from others. I am thankful that I have the open mindedness to appreciate both these genres as well as many others. There is lots of Rap I enjoy and lots I dislike, same with rock. I have many friends who only like either rap or rock, and they are not much different from each other. It is not like one type is more prone to drugs or pot or profanity (whatever it was) than any other. And don't tell me other types of music than rap dont have lyrics suggestive of drugs/immorality/whatever.
*EDIT*
That is my point releasethefrogs. Violence in games only affects people if they are the type of people who would be affected by violence in games, and these type of people should not be playing those games anyway.

butbutbutbut....I thought space only HAD 3 dimensions. The 4th is supposed to be time or something. I downloaded the viewer, but it really does just look like animation of 1 cube inside another. On the other hand I dont have 3d glasses, so I would not know about that

General Discussion / Re:April Fool's Jokes ...
Fri 02/04/2004 10:49:41
April 1st is over now here, but yesterday I did a whole lot of crazy things. I called up my friend early in the morning, and told him another one of my friends had died, and his service was in an hour, and we would be going there directly from college. The look on his face was priceless when he turned up in 10 minutes in incredibly neat and conservative clothes (a new for him). You might think it was slightly morbid, but the guy who was supposed to be dead came up with the idea. Aside from that, there were the usual sending angry cards to people and filling other peoples names in the "FROM:" box. Still have to see the results of that

oy... I did not even notice how the walkway was paper thin. I'll get that fixed now. Thanks for the help with the shadows Evil. I was not sure how they would go with the shelf. What did you mean about the moving the light up?

*EDIT*

And here it is. I just saw that my shadow for the ladder is on the other side of yours Evil. I am not too sure about shadows and usually mess them up. I thought that since everything goes towards the centre point, the shadow would be inside. Probably wrong at that. Btw, it is up to 238 colours now

Thanks for the comments. I updated the BG now, it has a shadow from under the walkway. I think I messed it up more though. I am not so good with shadows. I got the ladder more realistic, though that involved almost a little too much detail than I wish the picture to have. It is necessary as you said, though, because it was looking kind of flat. I fixed the shelf too. I tried changing the colour of the walkway to less blue more grey, but it interfered with the colour of the wall, and made the overall picture look too "grey" and dull. I agree the floor, (supposed to be sand) should have a different pattern, but since I was not sure what type of pattern the sand would make, I just removed the one it already had.

Critics' Lounge / Stylistic BG :D
Tue 30/03/2004 14:53:27

I know it looks all weird, but I wanted it so that there can be few colours (so that I can finally have a reason to learn how to use that palette stuff), and less detailed so that I do not have to work too much and if people complain I can say it is my style :D
Seriously, I wish to make a game using this type of BG, and any C&C would be appreciated

but most of the world has in sight the end of the beginning of the midpoint of the blatancy of the redemption of those with the ability to find the solution to the problem that troubles the answer for the result of the question which was never resolved. The propitious detractors may survive the disclosure to the inebriated populace of our most inalienable behaviour towards ourselves. May the most Malawian contender succeed.

If Yassin was not assasinated, there would be more killings, since he HAS been assasinated, there will be more killings in revenge. The reply will be to kill more people, which will further anger the palestinians, who will revenge with more killing.
It is ping pong alright. With no way of getting any better. The world truly IS going through a flush

The cursors look really funny (in a good way). Even the guy's face made me laugh. This should be an interesting game. How can something full of Gradients not be?

what I hear inside my hea when I see these words on the screen?
"KILL! KILL! KILL!"
I never got it with internet abbreviations. They just annoy me. Like some idiot trying to sound cute by saying "lolllllllzzzzzzz!!!!!11!!" every second line. Then they make some stupid excuse about how "in the fast world of the internet" it takes less time to type in abbreviations. Yeah sure, you can save a few seconds by typing "lolllllllzzzzzzz!!!!!11!!" instead of refraining from touching the keyboard till you have something useful to say.
hahahah...I sounded like Maddox there for a few seconds. Ok, with the abreviations I usually hear it in letters, like brb would be B-R-B  and gtg would be G-T-G

How about winning the "Most disgusting entry award"?

#3339
Yeah....I remember future wars. The intro showed some weird laser fight and then you started the game as a window cleaner....? It was a long while ago. Sure, I would play a game like that. I am sure no one will have any objections at this stage. You will have to show some of your stuff before people start screaming about how you are "desecrating such a great concept"  ;D

Another sucky artist giving advice  ;D
I have a feeling that the flashy thing is the moon. I don't think that the moon would look like that, even if it was behind a cloud. Also, the grass near the walls look darker from the rest of the grass, unless it is moss or fungus or something, in which case i think it would look fuzzier. The colours also look kind of odd (gold tombstones  :o), but you mentioned that already. Is there a fire going on in the foreground? I really like the style of your background. How did you make it?
