What is this teasing with releasing episode 4 first, with references to 3 and some Maniac Mansion distortion screens? I WANT THAT! :D You're going to charge microtransaction money and release it as DLC, aren't you?!

Interesting series otherwise, I'm still a bit confused about it being "at least" X vanishing points in X-point perspective. I realise that things that aren't place parallel in the scene wouldn't show up parallel, but I never realised that each "plane" of arrangements would have its own vanishing point. When I had such arrangements, I usually just ended up eyeballing it.

I'd be curious to see a BG or scene which illustrated this point fully (rather than just abstract and isolated cubes)!

No HD Remaster for the PC then?
It was revealed at a PS event, so I guess the focus was on that. I've no direct quote or anything, but it'll be PC too, apparently:
Full Throttle Remastered coming to PS4, Vita and PC in 2017

Perhaps this is an odd topic for this site, but since there's such a large concentration of you awesome people, I figured I could ask for help here.

My current laptop, which I got around 2009 (a Core2Duo Toshiba Satellite) has served me very well, and still has absolutely nothing wrong with it (aside from a reduced battery life and the "3" key having come off, I suppose). The issue is that the work/research I'm doing now has requirements that are beyond it, most specifically, no USB 3.0 ports. It's a bit complicated, but I can't use a converter, backwards compatibility isn't going to help here, and installing a USB 3.0 on this system isn't going to work.

So I figured this was as good an opportunity as any to move up to a new laptop. Something I can use for my work right now, as well as keep for everything else for hopefully at least another 5-6 years.
The optimal specs for my work (other than the aforementioned USB 3.0 port) are essentially:
i5 Quadcore or more
2.4 GHz or more
8GB RAM or more

I have no issue with sizes (although the screen needs to be less than 24 inches, which I don't think will be a problem), weight, battery life (will mostly use it plugged in), brands, OSes (my work requires Windows 7/8, which I have a license for, although it would be nice to have enough space to dualboot with linux), or HD space (although again, this being for long term use, and hopefully dualboot so something as low as 120GB probably wouldn't work).

I'm looking locally as well, obviously, but I've got an opportunity to be able to order it from the US (if I can decide within the next week). I've looked around online using various sites (eg. amazon and newegg) with some relevant (and loads of irrelevant) filters, but that weren't very helpful. In fact, someone suggested a laptop model to me which fit my criteria, and then when I googled it, I got an amazon page, which I hadn't seen when I was using the filters on amazon.

Can someone suggest to me some procedure through which I can find the cheapest choices for my criteria?

I've enjoyed most of it, but even I find it sort of oscillates in tone between goofy and serious.

Me too as a theatre!

I think the most major issue is that the horizon seems to be parallel to the base of the truck opening (instead of being...horizontal), so it makes it look like something connected to that- like a stage.

Passing on the good will (thank you also, Arboris!), I'd like to put up on offer:
Game Character Hub
Haven't used it myself yet, and while it is geared towards RPGs, it seems like it could also be used to create sprites for use in AGS!

Post here, or PM me, and after I've verified that you are indeed a sentient being, I'll PM you the steam key for it!

Errr....I kinda knew that already (I mean, I seriously called Link "Shake"?)
Was just trying to get a rise out of metalheads. Sorry, you can put it down to...my terrible sense of humour! :D

Also, a totally wild guess here, with complete possibility to be wrong, but I'm probably older than you :D

I don't get the first one. I mean, the second is obviously wrong because the girl on the right is Shake, but what's wrong with the first?

There are only so many ways you can name a program that helps make adventure games :D. Most of them are probably used now...
Adventure Game Creator
Adventure Game Engine
Adventure Game Studio
Adventure Game Toolkit
etc

Hello, any suggestion on where can I upload my avatar? I tried Gravatar but Google says it might be hacked so I didn't bother. Also, does the site requires signing up?
Why not try http://imgur.com/ ?

A lot of people here initially complained about the high funding goal set in this project, so this might be an interesting read in that regard:

Another "dramatic" boss battle ending in an adventure game was from the much-maligned King's Quest V. I thought the final battle puzzle was quite nice, and was (as far as I can tell, if you had read a certain book beforehand in-game) self-contained. Was a battle of magic, with spells and counterspells- A concept I'd like to have seen a lot more in video games (in some way more in-depth than strafing and firing fireballs or ice spells at a Lich King while keeping up your own shield spell).

With your characters, I'd say the 2nd.

Unless it shows as a "Daily Deal" or "Flash Deal", it is probably isn't the lowest it will go.
But yeah, just get a refund.

Errr..the top listed vote (August 10-16) is smack-dab in the middle of Mittens. Not that I'm going, so I don't mind so much, but some might who would want to participate!
...unless they're planning some sort of nefarious MITTENSROW!

Not really related to the problem here (and the solution here doesn't work for me), but I figured I'd ask here since it seems the place.
What's the command for turning the AGS exe file into the setup? I seem to remember it was something like "game.exe -setup", but that doesn't work. neither does -winsetup.
I'm trying to run an older game, and it is having that issue of not being able to render in 320x200. I figured I'd change the settings to have it in 640x400 (I remember older setups had that option), but the game doesn't come with a winsetup.exe.

EDIT: Looking over some of my older AGS game files, seems it WAS -setup, but that doesn't seem to work in this case. The game was from the DOSdays of 2002, so I downloaded the ACWIN.exe from the relevant AGS download, but then got the error about the resolution. Using Saurabh's files (someone should really back them up to something better than mediafire!) didn't give any error when I clicked ACWIN.exe, but it didn't run the game either, just it popped up on my startbar, but when I clicked on it, it doesn't show up.
