As long as it's between consenting adult humans who are aware of the various risks involved I don't see why it's anyone's business.  It's not my kink, but hey, if they're happy.

The true purpose of sex is to pass on our genes and make lots of babies.  It also plays a large part in forming emotional bonds.  It's also fun.

Plus the scary-things of unwanted pregnancy and STDs don't go away when you sign a piece of paper.

I don't care about 'getting it right', because I'll never believe that perverted theology anyways. The reason that so many of you believe in evolution is not because of your own free thought, it's because it was taught in schools.

Okay, don't worry about "getting it right", but building strawmen out of evolutionary theory in order to make it easier for you to dismiss doesn't win you any points.

It's not theology anyway.  It's science.  Biology, specifically.  The acceptance of evolution and a belief in God can be mutually exclusive.

Quote"If evolution exists, then why aren't monkeys changing into people nowadays?"

Humans didn't evolve from monkeys, monkeys and humans share a common ancestor millions of years ago.  Get it right.

Yes, we're with the TPS.  They block pretty much all of our unsolicited calls that we suffered since moving in (obviously the previous occupant liked them!).

QuoteWith over half of all British robberies occuring while the owner is at home, I'd sure as hell like a gun if I were to live there.

Or you could invest in a good burglar alarm, make sure you lock your windows at night and don't leave all your expensive things out for all to see.

QuoteThere was no violence during the Cold War.
QuoteThere were a lot of scares.   I'll go so far to trivialze history if it makes you feel better.

You'll find you're the one living in Dreamland, and your lack of historical knowledge astounds me.  The US and the USSR, whilst not necessarily killing each other in all-out-full-scale-total-war, funded and supported opposite sides in many other wars, pointscoring against each other.  For starters:

- Korean War 1950-1953
- Vietnam War 1964-1975
- Soviet-Afghan War 1979-1989

Just cause you're not a virgin doesn't mean you're a slut-whore out with the entire rugby team.

I'm not criticising "America" or "Americans", I'm criticising "American gun culture" specifically, so I don't get your point.

I am not insulting anyone.  I am saying that if they find that people dislike, criticise and think that their gun culture (for that is what we are discussing) is wrong, and are insulted by that, then they probably should be.

I think that pretty much all violence is wrong.  I would say that a society where 2/3rds of the minors want to commit suicide bombings should be criticised and disliked.  If that society is then insulted by criticism, then that's their own fault.

QuoteIf you find it insulting that the rest of the world is criticising your gun culture after a massacre of this proportion, quite frankly you deserve to been insulted.

If you are insulted that:

- Some people find that a culture that encourages gun ownership as a legitimate self-defence/crime prevention (hah! hah!) tactic abhorrent and completely alien to them.
- Some people find that a gun culture that allowed someone obviously mentally unstable (or anyone, really) to own a gun with the capacity to easily murder large groups of people in a relatively short time frame is actually a bad thing.
- Some people find that the idea of having a gun to defend oneself by being prepared to kill, yes, guns are for killing, they're not very good at anything else is the antithesis of self defence, because all you do is escalate any given situation.

Then it's pretty reasonable that you should be insulted.  I'd be ashamed if you weren't insulted.  And some people find it insulting that in the face of citizens being able to massacre each other through an outdated constitutional right to "defend"/arm themselves people still cling onto this right like it's all they have to stop anarchy.

Maybe people actually want to make their self-invisioned personal games?

Go to the doctor.  The internet is not a great place for diagnosing yourself!  Breathlessness can be a sign of several things, including asthma.

I may turn up.  I may not.  It remains to be seen.

You should still be asking this on the HotU forums, not here.

No.  mIRC uses PORTS to TALK to OTHER PEOPLE.  "A recent attack on your computer" being blocked means that Norton is detecting traffic to and from ports that mIRC is using to communicate with the servers, NOT blocking viruses.

An "attack" could mean anything from a remote port-scan to virus.  Doesn't mean it is.  Your firewall overreacts.  Turn it down.

QuoteHmm, I'm not sure if my computer is able to take WinRAR, due to the recent virus attack from mIRC.

Do you know how stupid this sounds?  mIRC doesn't give you viruses.  You have an over-reacting firewall.  Change that.

Data is not information.  Google stores data.  And if you're so concerned about your personal safety, get off the internet.  Additionally, never apply for a passport, credit card, debit card, driving licence...

Yes, I know you are, that's why I mentioned you should talk to them, but you already have done.

I'm pretty damn sure RHUL has an audio/visual department that will record for you.  Unless you want your own private recording and don't trust their equipment.
