Hehe, those cards are amazing!  I am getting through the photos slowly but surely!

The MASTER METER has been paid and Adamski and I got back at 1:30pm BST and crashed asleep for a bit but now I am awake and preparing to upload 500+ photos.

Thanks for hosting Grundislav, it was awesomely amazingly fun, even if I am sure I sweated three times my own body weight of sweat into your deathcar!  To everyone else new and old, it was great to see you all, thanks for making this Mittens a wholly brilliant experience!  I hope to see you all again :)

I already have my multi-socket converter okay >:(

Well it looks like all the people arriving at MIA on the 29th are arriving between 12:48 (Snarky) and 2:20 (Pesty), so I guess we should all gather at Concourse E (because its in the centre!) during that time, it seems like our flights have worked out close enough together that we're all arriving within that hour and a half.  I guess MIA folk should exchange flight numbers as well so we can see if planes are delayed and when they've arrived etc.  I assume that Grundislav and Mills will turn up at some point (I guess about 2:30?  3:00?) to pick us up.

DarkStalkey and I are on British Airways Flight BA0207 :)

Actually you arrive before us, if your arrival time in the first post is correct!  Also Adam and I have to go through crazy US security and get fingerprints taken etc, how much fun that shall be! - So we may take a bit longer through security/baggage than most.

Good luck on your travels, early arrivers!

For those arrving at MIA on the 29th, a suggested meeting point has been Concourse E ( http://www.airportterminalmaps.com/images/MIA-terminal-map.gif ), as it's in the middle :)

Oh man I just looked at the animals that are at the Miami Metro Zoo and I AM SUCH A NERD but I want to see them :D  Giant River Otters <3 <3

Actually the ESTA is exactly the same as the visa waiver card that visitors from countries that don't need visas (e.g. UK) needed to fill in on flight.  It's exactly the same with the same requirements, except you fill it in in advance and not on the flight.  You do not also need to apply for a visa if you are part of the visa waiver programme.

Hey, Adam and I should be moving towards confirmed :) Now the dates are definite, we'll work on getting tickets!
#33
Dates are good :) See you there!  But I wont be 21 yet so you better buy me drinks >:(

Also everything I post applies to DarkStalkey as well.  Apart from the age thing.
#34
Well I'll be graduating 13th-17th and unable to come those dates so as long as it's before or after...
#35
Those dates are perfect - I'll be 21 on the 23rd as well so wheeee!

I have no idea exactly what contract he's got, but a lot of students round here including myself are able to swap/resign contracts with new people if they decide to leave, but I don't think we can outright leave (well, stop paying) unless someone else picks the contract up.

Also there should definitely be a clause somewhere about prior dissolution of the contract, I'd double check and get him to talk to the letting agent.

Well you conveniently didn't mention that any one would consider voting for Obama because they genuinely agree with his political positions, I think that's possibly a big factor in why people might potentially vote for him?

You realise that saying:

Quotea lot of black people are simply going to vote for him 'cause he's black

is the same thing as saying:

Quotea lot of women are simply going to vote for Sarah Palin 'cause she's female

which is a ridiculous statement to make.  You cannot reduce the political agency of a whole sector of society into such black and white terms without coming across as bigoted.  And suggesting that because you said "a lot of people" rather than "every person" somehow removes you from the responsibility of the words you said is a cop out.

#38
Yes, no one could possibly want to vote for Obama because they genuinely like his policies!  They must all be voting so the tiny spark of conscience in them doesn't feel racist, just this once.

Basically Pablo, yes, there will be people there who won't be drinking, so don't worry about feeling awkward ;)  Plus, if you think being sober with drinkers is awkward, try being one of the few token females at a sausagefest ;)  Really, it's all fine.

That house looks all sorts of amazing, and pool and private beach as well?  Very yes!
