Boddingtons! I haven't heard of that in years! I really only know it because of the tv adverts from the 90s, this one in particular which parodies ad tropes of the time and also made me fall in love with Melanie Sykes:

You chose... wisely! It is indeed Aladdin! Tenuous link is that the lead character was supposedly modeled after Mr Cruise.

I got really confused there and thought you were implying Tom Cruise is going to save us all from a great Flood..!

Here's mine, super-obscure link to previous:

Best line in that movie: "I'm sorry sir, I do not understand you."

Here's mine with a moderately tenuous link:

Ah, I think it's Stroszek! I studied that at uni twenty-odd years ago, but never would have got it from the first pic!

Correct, it's Hunt for the Wilderpeople! The director of that film, Taika Waititi, not only directed Thor 3 but also played the character that delivered the "Piss off, ghost!" quote. I recommend both films, along with two more of his, What We Do In The Shadows and Eagle Vs Shark.

It's from New Zealand and has a strong connection to Thor Ragnarok, I would have thought that would be enough even without all the quotes! Thankfully Lorenzo has provided some massive extra clues...

That's the right track!

Seriously, two of those are big clues even if you haven't seen the film. Here's another quote anyway:

"Come on, have some breakfast, then you can run away."

Kingi isn't the kind of name you'd typically expect to hear in UK stuff like those.
Also, as the strong link to previous isn't Marvel or superheroes, what could it be?
And does anyone remember watching a film where they come up with haikus?

Sorry for the delay. No, it's not a superhero movie.

"Kingi you wanker
You arsehole I hate you heaps
Please die soon in pain"

A couple of clues:

Note the amount of syllables per line in the second quote, see if that jogs your memory.
This round has a very strong link to the previous one.

Huh. Okay, here's another quote:

"Me and this fat kid.
We ran we ate and read books.
And it was the best."

I am not sure when the comics or book came about but there was a movie called Buck Rogers in 1939.

The first story was published in 1928. The first comic strip was released the next year.

Thor Ragnarok!

Assuming I'm right, here's mine:
