Huh, where did I get 150 from? Oh well, good bumping Sane Co! But you lose points for being too keen and only breaking the record by a day :p

It's one of my favourites too. I also enjoyed the sequels. Haven't seen the tv series but apparently that was good. I haven't got round to watching the fifth one, as it's the first not to involve the original writers...

The Game?

Not sure where the foot shot would be from and I don't remember him having a dog, but this reminded me of the scene where his housekeeper has left him a birthday gift. Hmmm, actually, I think that was a cupcake. Not confident with this guess!

You were correct with the Apes one, yes!

That shot of the AVGN movie, is that those rocks where they filmed that episode of Star Trek TOS and Bogus Journey later referenced?

Is Beneath the Planet of the apes?

Don't know the connection between it and The Maltese Falcon.  Never seen either.

No, not Beneath The Planet Of The Apes!

Assuming I'm right, here's my next one. However, as it's pretty easy, you must:

a) get it exactly right and
b) identify the link to the previous answer.

Presumably you chose this because the song La Paloma is played in the 50s Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers? Very subtle!

I believe this pic is from The Maltese Falcon.

Why not?

HA HA HA I am joking, you are correct. It is the Donald Sutherland starring Don't Look Now. I thought someone would get that pretty quickly.

Nah, I think that does it.

Anyway, I think that trailer looks quite good but not as exciting as the TFA one was.

Here it is in the X-Wing game from 1993 (about 34 seconds in):

I'm not sure why "finding a case of first reference" (if you distrust that wiki) matters or really what it means.

I think you are reading it wrong; the article is written rather ambiguously, but at the end they clearly differentiate the two occasions where it was named Horuz from all the others. I think what they mean is that if it had been named in ROTS, they would have continued using the EU name Despayre.

EDIT: I fell down the Star Wars rabbit hole and came across this mention of the planet name in 2002 on a forum:

I will concede it's possible the planet was called that in canon before I thought of the name for my game but it seems awfully unlikely to me. I tried to find the first known usage of it (in canon) but couldn't really find anything conclusive. I found a few things about it being called something else previously (in games, etc) but that it was listed as "in error" and now it's called Despayre.

It seems it was first mentioned as far back as 1991 in the Death Star Companion. It was only in a couple of instances that it got confused with the system name:

I just realised that's a white prison cell in the first pic. Is this Manhunter, Michael Mann's adaptation of Red Dragon featuring Brian Cox as "Hannibal Lecktor"?

(I just did a quick search to make sure I got the right misspelling and it looks like that cell had bars, not a door, and brick walls, so I'm probably wrong .)
