I'd really appreciate more views as well. I already have 40, but I'm not even done with 10% percent of the whole game yet, so I'm a bit worried 300 views may not be enough.

Muzlak - you're right about the stance, but it's to late to change it now, I already got so many animations done... -_-
Also, I always thought you made the KQ4 backgrounds for fun... didn't know you're actually making a whole KQ4 remake out of them. :3

Well, The problem is that the displayex function itself doesn't do anything... i tried to only set a globalint to 1 under it but it didn't even do  that.

Check the view you used as 'normal' view for your character.
Usually, there's four different animation loops - down, left, right, up. The first frame of each loop is the standing frame, the rest of them will be looped to create a walking animation. Something seems to be wrong with your right and down loops... check those.

I tried adding the code, but it didn't change anything. I played with it a bit, but the function doesn't seem to do anything at all. -_-

The game overall won't be too big, but big enough to keep you busy for a few hours.

I've been hard at work on my first AGS project, and it's starting to look better and better everyday... I managed to add a room every day, which is not so bad considering I'm doing all the graphics by myself.

On a side note, english isn't my mother tongue, I have trouble expressing myself properly sometimes.

Ok, on with it - you're playing Ben, a boy who's hoping to find a job in a big city called Steinburg. However, things don't turn out as he had planned. For one, the job he managed to get sucks, and the income is even worse. Then there's the matter with that annoying demon that wants him to be his master. And, according to Fate, Ben technically shouldn't even exist at all. Ben doesn't agree, of course. But have you ever tried to go against Fate while trying to shake off a demon while working as a City Guard with the worst income ever? Well, Ben thinks it's rather annoying...

As you can tell it's a pretty wacko fantasy story and it won't be too serious. :3

I have a small problem with this code... if you click away a text with the right mouse key, it'll switch to the next icon. I need to find a way to lock changing cursors for a bit when the game is unpaused again.

Ok, I got everything to work, many thanks! :D

I found it to be more practical to always substract 1 to the current x pos to get the movement effect... movecharacter needs to be set again after changing main char animations, and doing so results in shaking.

Only I don't understand what IsOverlayValid does... I checked the manual, but I didn't really understand the description. How come it sets the Global Value 3 back to 0 if the message has disappeared?
