I absolutley love the orc. I've recently been re-playing the Quest for Glory series, and the way the gnome looks (Especially his expression) looks definitley like something out of a Qfg game.

Excellent read Vel, as usual! Great review of ToaK (Very kind), and the interview with Dave Gilbert was great. I guess this now means that when people start asking me what I'm working on currently, I can finally start saying Bestowers of Eternity instead of "Oh, just some project", hehe.

Take care of yourself Petteri, okay? I'm sure you'll do fine, and we'll all still be around to celebrate your return. Good luck!

There's tons of websites online that detail this in super detail, so just google "PS2 Disc Read Error", and you should find them easily. It's not too hard a process. You will, however, need supplies to open the PS2, a q-tip (Or soft cloth), some rubbing alcohol, a fine tiped sharpie pen, and a lot of patience.

It's worth it though. I got blue discs and DVD movies to work on my PS2 again!

Well, I hate to got off topic even more, but for people having trouble playing the game, go here:

This guy makes patches that fix timer bugs. I was able to play through Quest for Glory IV with only ONE bug, and that was right at the end (Not being able to Summon Staff as a Wizard), which is easily fixed.

Plus, there's alot of other great Sierra game-fixes on that page too.

Agreed. By the Sword was one of the adventures I was really waiting for, it looked great.

As for PS2 Modding, I know what you mean. Whereas I'm not going to mod my PS2 until I have my hands on a PS3 (Backwards compadability... Pleeeease?), I did have to open my PS2 to fix the infamous Disc Read Error.

Took me two hours to fix, and it was very tense the whole time.

I was thinking of labling the monster chasing the Hero as "Error 52"... But I decided against it.

After about an hour and a half, I give you my entry:

I mean, who HASN'T found a bug withing QFG4?

Great topic, by the way... I may do some other box covers, I have some ideas kicking around...

Wow, definatley a very professional looking demo you have there. The interface is quite nice.

I hope that you continue to work on this game, as it's definitley now near the top of my list of games I'm waiting for.

Any chance for a 2005 release?

Happy birthday LGM! You're now as old as me! Mwhahaha!

There is the P3N1S Award... So yes... Yes there is.

...Vel beat me to it.

Here... I'll type them out... Let's see if I can still remember them!

Red, like the blinding of a light
Darker than the coldest night
But nothing compares to the
Hue of Itchy Eyes

Drops, like the rain falls from above,
Like the pain of shattered love,
But nothing compares to the
Sting of Itchy Eyes

But, what of the morning
And the sun's gentle warmings
Bring beautiful rays
But, on these days I feel nothing but

Pain, which does hunt me like a shark,
Let me rest throughout the dark,
But nothing compares to a
Life with Itchy Eyes

There you go. Hahaha, I love how popular that song has become. I mean, I wrote it about my allergies, haha!

My mom hasn't uploaded it onto her computer yet, I don't think. Though she's already sent me some pictures of me on the couch drinking coffee, hehe.

Best present I got this Christmas:

My dad's face when he opened the "Classic Monsters DVD Box Set" that my brother and I gave him, the one that has been out of print for some time now, that my dad has always wanted and had given up on.

I think my mom snagged a picture when he first realised what was underneath the wrapping. Hahaha, he nearly crapped himself!

I hate to burst your bubble SGK... But it's not me singing. Last time I checked, my gender was male, haha. My friend Ida is singing on that track. I actually just saw her for the first time since the game was released last night, and told her about all the great comments I've been receiving on that track.

She says thank you, haha!

I'm definitley looking forward to the Hitchhiker's movie. I have a feeling that, considering the script was written by Douglas Adams himself, that the movie should be great. Not to mention  that Martin Freeman (Tim from BBC's "The Office") is playing Arthur Dent. I think that's the most brilliant casting ever.
