Fliipy_D: the actual link to Sluggy Freelance is www.sluggy.com

And three of the U rated comics (Sluggy, PA and VGCats) are the three I read on a regular basis.

Hahaha, I love Dave, singing "Itchy Eyes". Who would've known that a song I wrote about my allergies would've become the main theme of "Two of a Kind"?

I've been wanting to make a giant Mario sprite on my wall, pixel by pixel for quite some time now. Haven't gotten around to doing it yet though.

It's probably be Mario from the first Super Mario Brothers.

Well, my mom works at the Fairmont Empress Hotel (The classiest hotel in Victoria BC), and that's where all the stars stay when they're filming movies here. She's met tons of famous actors.

Ummm... One of my girlfriend's friends has famous parents. Her mother was in Dances with Wolves, and is still good friends with Kevin Costner (My GF has actually met him). And her dad auditioned for Dustin Hoffman's role in "The Graduate".

"Yah, we believe in NOTHINK Lebowski! Tomorrow night, we come here, and we cut off your johnson!"

Definatley one of my top 10 favorite films.

Man Duzz... This is looking awesome. Perhaps you should look into the TCP/IP plugin. Man, would it be sweet to play a 6 player game of this over the internet...

I remember the Spellcasting 101/201/301 series. Insanely hard games, but they were fun. Also using the same engine was Time Quest, which I still have my original box for,  ;D

As for best puzzle... That's tough... I kinda like the "Getting past the Gate" puzzle in Two of a Kind... oh wait... That's not out yet...

Ummmm... I'll have to get back to you on that one...

Hehehe, I was just playing Breath of Fire III, and there's one point in which an Aussie Dolphin attacks the main character, and uses the word Sheilas, referring to the girls in the party.

Pesty: Longhorn is the codename of the new OS. It'll probably be changed to "Windows: XP 06" or "Windows: FU" or some other random abbriviation by the time it's released.

This page lists all the Windows products and their codenames: http://www.phm.lu/Documentation/Windows/Codenames.asp

Windows 3.1 = Windows Janus
Windows 95 = Windows Chicago

Etc...

Whoo! It sure feels nice to see long games starting to come together. I'm really glad you stuck with this Goldmund, because it sure does look nice. Donna's been on my waiting list for a while now, and I'm glad to see that it's still under-production.

Okay, for those who want a walkthrough... Warning, reading this will spoil the entire game for you, so beware!!

Spoiler
Dice sides that have a middle dot in them (1, 3, 5) are the roses. The dot in the center of the die is the rose, and any other dots on die are petals. So for instance, the 5 side would have 4 petals around the rose. Now say you have rolled a 3, 4, 5, 6, and a 1, there would be 6 petals. Get it NOW??

It just sounds like someone who's sped up a recording of them singing "Bananaphone" by Raffy. And the singing is annoying.

There wan't even REAL music, just the song acapella. It got annoying after a few seconds. I don't see how this could used as a song in an adventure game at all.

Man, Quantum Leap was the best show in the universe.

Anyway, back on topic.

Cardiac Arrest = Blue Screen of Death. It's really hard to save your computer from it... But it CAN be done.

My best friend and I sat down and played through it in Co-op on Normal difficulty, then again on Legendary Difficulty. The repetitiveness I could overlook while playing co-op, but I can't see myself liking the game in straight 1 player mode.

There was in the works a while ago... I can't quite remember what it was called, but I recall it looked REALLY good. It was set in an office building...

Hehehe, this actaully happened a couple days ago. My brother was over at his girlfriend's place, and they were looking for adventure games to download. He came to the AGS site, because I'd shown him tons of good good games for AGS. They saw that "Smokin' Weed" had won an award, and downloaded it not knowing what award it had won.

Luckily my brother was able to save the day by remembering the Robert Redford Trilogy, and downloading that shortly after.

As someone who owns all three next-generation consoles, I'd have to say that I think the Xbox is the best one, hardware wise. I still think of the PS2 as my favorite though, because I play it more than my Xbox. And I like the Gamecube least of the three.

Okay... Here's my two cents. The third Tex Murphy game (Under a Killing Moon) was EXTREMELEY innovative at the time, and one of the rare examples on how FMV can be used correctly. It was a fully 3d (IE: you moved around in a 3d environment, with the game world being rendered in real-time) adventure game that ran on a 386 and had FMV! It also had in-game hints for people who were stuck. The game was excellent, and was truly a revolutionary game.

Now the sequel (The Pandora Directive) is one of my favorite games of all time. I love it much more than Under a Killing Moon. The thing is, Pandora Directive runs on the EXACT SAME ENGINE as Under a Killing Moon. Access, the company that made the games, decided instead of working on a new engine, that they would put all their time and resources into developing better plot and characters. The result is an adventure game with multiple endings (10, I think), that is so engaging that I play through it at least once every two or three months.

Not only are those two games examples of how adventure games DID differ from the "standard formula", but it's also an example on how NOT differing from the standard formula can give you an amazing game.

QuoteThe artwork was done by everybody else.

It's true. Literally. I think everyone in the team ended up doing some part of the graphics. I did the main characters, as well as most of the animations. Dart did 90% of the backgrounds, (A couple by Scotch, and one by YOke), and YOke did I think ALL the animals and their animations.

Let me just say, that the game is, in my opinion, really REALLY good. I can't wait to see this topic in the Completed Games Forum, as I really think everyone will enjoy it.
