A neat idea!

The backgrounds have nice outlines, but generally need a bit more work, they seem to bland right now.

Also, on the house picture, there looks to be a bit of a modern car on the far right. If this is a parody of Indiana Jones, will in take place in the 30s? Or is it more of a parody of James Bond, taking place in modern times...?

But the project seems to have a good start. Continue work, I'm sure alot of people will play it once it's done.

Jannar: I liked your editorial, very nice.

Yesterday was probably the biggest blow to the adventure game community since Chainsaw Monday...

My email to LucasArts...

QuoteDear Whomever it may concern,

I just received word that you have stopped production on the sequel to "Sam and Max Hit the Road". This disappoints me to no end as it was one of the top games I was waiting for within the next few years. I know economically the adventure game genre has not been selling enough this past years, but it's companies like you, who have no faith in the customers and weight of well known characters, that have killed this genre.

I am emailing you to inform that due to your decision today, I will never in my lifetime purchase another game by LucasArts. It saddens me to no end to do this, as I have been purchasing your games since "The Secret of Monkey Island 1", but I have now lost complete faith in the company. I believe you have made a stupid decision and stunted the return of adventure games to today's market.

   Sincerely,
   Allister Howe

OSC, I'm definagtley ,looking forward to this game. I love the graphic style, and the idea just sounds brilliant.

I read in the Critic's Lounge that you were unhappy with it, and might cancel the game. Well, if you are truly unhappy, go ahead. I'm sure the members of the forums, including myself, can manage.

But if you still want the game to continue, but don't feel you can make it by yourself, by all means, ask for help. I'm sure there's lots of people on the forums who could help with graphics and music and the such.

I'm not quite sure if this is the right forum, but I'll answer your question anyway...

Most people use either Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. I personally use Photoshop 6.0 for all my spriting and backgrounds.

There are alot of people who also use alot of free programs. I'm not quite sure what these programs are, or where to obtain them, so hopefully someone can help you out if need be.

I would love to help Dave, but currently all my time goes to my Infamous Adventurers projects (All one of them, :p). If I had more time though...

The game sounds great already. I have high confidence that'll it'll be awesome, and who knows, maybe I'l even buy a copy when it comes out ;)

I'm at school, and the brightness and gamma on this monitor is terrible, so I can only see the light parts of the image. However, I'm pretty sure I noticed a perspective problem with the window (Correct me if I'm wrong)... The top of the Windo should be slanted upwards, not downwards, as it gets close to the edge of the image. I made a quick edit to show you what I mean.

Note, this isn't the best edit in the world, as I was forced to use Paint Shop Pro 5 at school (I haven't used PSP in about 5 years), but you should get the idea.

Adam: The bottom screen is still in works, and hasn't been touched up yet. Also, there is alot of screens in one image, therefore alot of GIF compression errors. Rest assured, everything will be perfect by the time the public gets a hold of it. Thank you for the complements!

Timosity: Thanks alot! I so glad alot of people are getting interested in the progress of this game. We've accomplished ALOT over the past 3 and a half months we've been working on the thing, alot of things no one's even seen yet. I can't wait for the website to be unveiled, it's looking excellent so far. And hopefully we'll have a teaser demo out within the month.

But Roger's so... AWESOME. Has anyone else noticed his extremely long arms when he's facing downwards? It's hilarious!

Okay, that's it. I'm starting a dream journal. I've had way too many cool dreams I can't remember, except that they were cool.

Feh. Let's see what happens. Maybe I'll even get to Lucidity someday.
