Go see a doctor.

I used to be scared of doctors, and I put off seeing them - I always had little minor symptoms, and I explained them away.  Soon, I let it linger on too long.... and by the time I seriously saw doctors, my kidneys were already destroyed and now I'm one of those people who has no kidneys and has to do dialysis for the rest of his life.  (Or get a transplant - which I've already had one of, and that one recently failed).

It's better to get these things checked out - always ask questions and demand two things at the office - a urine test and a blood test.  They can pinpoint many serious or minor problems from these two simple tests.

Seems kinda creepy.  Can't you do all this, you know, in real life?!?

I'd have to say "Dune".

I love that flick, though it's a mess to most.

Why do people say Fieldy is an "amazing" bass player.  His tone sounds like a dying wheelbarrow slapping against a dead trout.

I love DGMacphee. Ã,

You summed it all up well. Ã, I can only add that they suck so bad that their guitar player left them for Jesus.

Korn is a schtick, packaged and sold to you like a pack of Slim-Jims. Ã,

"Here kids! Ã, Here's some angst for you to relate to. Ã, We're going to go rest on our yacht, grab a rhyming dictionary and see how many hookers we can kill before the government gets suspicious."

And Blackthorne - you're definitely missing the point here. The audience that the Japanese films are targeting are, in fact, watching the movie for the story as well as the gorefest. There's a reason why Scream and other gory American slasher movies are not as popular in Japan as you'd expect. We don't watch for the torture. The torture is just a visual reflection of of mental and emotional pain, and in some cases even spiritual. The bizarre scenes are a way of exploring the fantastic, where all normal rules are suspended, and in Japan rules are pretty restrictive.

I don't watch horror films for the gore - I watch films for the story.  I like to be captivated by the story - be it through suspense, wit, intelligence, humour... what have you.

I agree with Prog - I find the stories trite and boring, often, in these ultra-violent movies.

It's not to say, however, that a lot of Japanese (and Asian) cinema isn't beautiful.  In fact, I believe that some of the most creative DP's are working in Asian cinema.

If you choose to dwell on it's, admittedly, coal black finale then you miss out on the underlying sadness of what is really a viciously painful love story.

I've heard this "defence" a MILLION times, and it's crap.  Viciously painful love story?  Just because some chicks taprooted in the skull doesn't give her the right to do what she does.  That ain't love, or lack of it - that's a f'd human being.

The movie is intended to make you cringe, not go - aw, poor breaking heart.

Audition severely disturbed me.  I wish I never watched it.

But, I suppose, I can see where people get off on freakish torture movies.  Personally, I think they're just a shade below snuff.

I think Battle Royale is seriously over-rated and praised.

It pushes "boundries" in every possible cliched way - albiet with some artfully done sequences.  I can't deny it's effects on modern action cinema, though.

Heh, Ali makes a good point.

I've seen many people demand easy and awesome sprites - like there's a secret, hidden, cache, reserve or trick that a small sect of people have and/or use.

It's like, the Illuminati of Animation.

In all seriousness, it's like most have said already - great amounts of practice and drawing.  Watch reference films to get motion down, and then try to copy that motion into your drawings.

Hey, how come no one sends me nasty PMs? I feel so left out.

I do love this world though.  You offer good advice and the spoiled brats cry "NO!!! THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANT! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"

I never want to have kids.

I imagine it would be a lot like this one... But with a slight increase in penis and fart jokes.

In other words, paradise.

There's never enough dick and fart jokes.

I don't have a Tom Wilkinson fetish, but I think Rutger Hauer is cute, cuddly and not CREEPY AT ALL.

I often dream of what a world controlled by DGMacphee would be like.

Keep telling yourself that, Yufster.... that he craves the stability.

Girls are so oblivious sometimes.  Moreso than us "stupid" men.

And my shrink once told me to "get a blog."  True story.

If I'm really bored, I'll just masturbate, thank you.

I use a computer for what GOD intended it for.  A $2000 porn box.

You must be missing an ingredient.

Most people miss getting the bowl from the kitchen.

Guys, it's a freakin' rumor.

They can light people on fire, jump motorcycles over cars, crash large sets of cars and yet a man cannot weild a leather whip?

You people believe WAY too much of what you read.

Tablet of Altheria was really fun.  I worked with the Author (Berserker Tails) in the early days of IA, and he shared his early version of it with me.  He's a talented dude, but I imagine he's just busy these days - as I recall, he was actually playing a lot of music and working as a musician.  I bet life just caught up with him.
