Just about two years.  A lot of trial and error work - as well as concurrent work on several other projects which have yet to be completed as well.

But we did get it done.

I haven't seen that much Wang since I went to the international General Tso's Chicken Fest.

By today's standards, yeah, they're not amazing graphics... but when I played them on the IIgs... they were so atmospheric and immersive.  If you can, I reccomend you get a IIgs emulator and find those games.

I really loved your demo and I look forward to the final game.

It reminds me of the old Icom adventures, "Shadowgate", "Deja Vu", and "Uninvited".... I loved those games.  Along with Tass Times in Tone Town, I think they ate up all my Apple IIgs time.

That's pretty neat.Ã,  We also got a full review in another issue.Ã,  Always fun to be featured for your work - and we're in amazing company there.Ã,  There are some really impressive games on that list.

General Discussion / Re: Blood donors?

I cannot donate blood because I have End Stage Renal Disease and a kidney transplant.  I'm severely anemic, and I require shots of a drug called Epogen.  In fact, if my condition gets bad - I get blood transfusions.  So, to all of you who give blood - thanks.  I've had quite a few in my day, and they helped a lot.

I happen to think that the plot of the Colonel's Bequest is fine the way it is.  Changing it would be an example of hubris.

However, I do wish you luck on your project and I think your backgrounds are looking lovely.  I hope your sprite animation goes well, too.

Yes, I'm rather pleased with the lighting in general. As for the outside shots.. Yea, they're overexposed a bit... Even with an ND filter I still had trouble. Guess it's the harsh summer sun of Iowa. No worries, though, a friend of mine just so happens to be a great post-production editor and is fixing up all of the color and exposure.

It's really hard in the sunlight, sometimes, I feel your pain.

But, really, the lighting is really great.  Give your DP a hug for me.  If you're your own DP, well, give yourself a pat on the back.

Hey there!  Yeah, the scene would have been funnier with that VO narration - cause as it stood alone, it came off as sad and awkward for the girl.  More embaressing than funny - but the narration helps explain the context.

I enjoyed the last trailer - the indoor lighting for the film is really excellent.  The outdoor shots seem a little more over-saturated, but it's not really bad.

I look forward to the final project!

I find DG very literate and informed - for a kangaroo fucking Aussie.

I used to play "Reader Rabbit" on the Apple IIe at school when I was a kid.  That was the HEIGHT of edutainment technology.

Kevin is a very amiable guy.

I went to Vulgarthon, his film festival, in Red Bank NJ this summer, where he debuted Clerks II before it was publicly released.  He hung out with the fans all day (As well as Jason Mewes, Jen Schwalbach and Brian O'Halloran from Clerks 2) and was very accesible.  I had a great time, and his films make me laugh, and occasionally, think.

Not really talking about internet arguments anymore, not sure I ever was, not in this thread...

Argument being analogus to conversation, at least in my usage - not necessarily meaning a fight.

My father once said to me "Pick your battles."

As strong as my passions and convictions are, I try to refrain from getting too emotionally invested in internet argument.  It just doesn't do anyone a bit of good, let alone yourself.  Many times, you leave the keyboard feeling frustrated.  Most times, you have to shake your head and wash your hands of things, and remember that when it all comes down to it - you only live one life, your own.

How many pixel artists does it take to draw a car in MS-Paint?

20.

One to do it, and nineteen to go "I could do that way better."

Perhaps he meant he would just seduce you with his "rapist" wit.  He gets his adjectives screwed up a lot.
