That makes you Jesus's creator!

So, who would win in a fight?  Mr. Collosal or Lemmy?

I know I do.Ã,  Especially if the employees are all Andy Kaufman clones wearing wrestling outfits.

You have no idea how much I love you right now.

Working on your own concepts is good.Ã,  No vehement fanboys of the original to claim you've done a terrible job!

Absolutely!  Of course, there ARE the people to tell you your ideas suck.

WHAT?  EVERYONE WANTS TO PLAY AN ADVENTURE GAME ABOUT A GUY WHO WORKS IN AN ICE CREAM SHOPPE!!!

Why not just enjoy the original for what it is?Ã,  Seriously, this remake craze confuses me.Ã,  There's plenty of room left in the world for new games--games, I might add, free from fear of lawsuits.Ã,  If there are elements of a classic game you like and wish were in a new game then great, incorporate them...But make something new out of it!

For me, the remake thing was a challenge - in the end, I met a lot of great people, we worked on a game and completed a full length game.  Plus, it seemed to bring a lot of joy to people, which I was happy to do.

In the future, we're working on our own concepts.  For me, the remake was a great training ground.

Sadly, I'd say try redownloading it.

This looks interesting! Is there any chance for a future version without the plugins so we Linux and Mac users can play this?

Yeah, we're looking into a Mac version, for sure.  I can't really say anything positive about a linux version, but it there's a way - I'm certainly willing to look into it.

Now I just have to decide if I want to keep playing or wait until the patch\voicepack comes out. It's obviously completeable in it's current form... Choices.

Either way you slice it, if you like King's Quest III, I hope you like this version.

We're polishing off the loose ends for the voice pack/update release currently.

147 dead more than 400 wounded, and counting.

Another sign of our age. Our hate! Our ignorance!

Yeah.  Cause no one died of hate and ignorance in any other age.

The Crusades were such a gilded age.

Squinky and Snarky are both right - VW won't liscense it's image unless it's portrayed in "a positive" manner - Herbie was a positive image for the BUG.

That said, it's still a Michael Bay film, and lord knows he will fuck it up.  However, I think it'll still be entertaining - but it won't be "The Transformers" that was beloved when I was child.

"At least we finished something" is getting a little over used here.

I have to say KQ3 was also my first adventure and I don't think you did the original justice. KQ3 and all the KQ games carries a huge fan following. What you did was use KQ3's (KQ1and2 vga also did this) name to get you thousands of fans you might not have had (most likely not, most people here make original games and thousands less play it) if your game was original.

Who is this guy?

Ah, he goes by the chick magnet net-handle of calacver.

Heh.

But seriously dude, I think the comparison is funny.Ã,  Saying we used KQ3's built in fan base to get fans.Ã,  I didn't make this game to gain fans, man.Ã,  Of course King's Quest III has lots of fans - that's why we took the time to make a fun ole "VGA" remake of it, man.Ã,  It's to celebrate the games we grew up and loved.Ã,  I don't know about you, but I grew up in Sierra's classic era - watching the games move from AGI, to 16 color SCI (Hell, I remember getting SQ3 for my 12th birthday in 1990) up to the 256 color VGA games of the later Sierra era.Ã,  I have a fond connection to those games.

Infamous Adventures is just a bunch of guys who like the games.Ã,  We're not any specially bred, socially inept and lonely people.Ã,  Just a bunch of guys that got together to make a game.Ã,  I'm the co-founder of the company, and I've paid for it out of my own pocket. (As has my co-founder, Klytos.)Ã,

Another interesting thing to note is, in my own personal philosophy, these "VGA" remakes of old games (KQ1VGA, KQ2+, KQIII - and even Sierra's own VGA release - SQ1, LSL1, QFG1) were NEVER meant to replace the original versions.Ã,  Every game has it's place and time to entertain - and they're all beloved in my heart.Ã,  Hell, I was playing the original AGI version of KQIII on my computer earlier (With NAGI, a great program - easy to use, really) and enjoying it immensely.  I think some people have a personal philosophy that the games somehow "replace" the originals, and I don't think that's a very good idea at all.

So, thanks for the praise - and I note your criticisms.  Sorry you couldn't have had a more pleasing experience, man.  You should watch for our next remake - since it's so hard to play on modern computers, and because it needs a VGA overhaul - we're remaking "Grand Theft Auto III".  Check it, buddy!

Aw, dude.  Thanks.  We're not really pros, but we're amateurs who got lucky and finished something... other than a whole pizza.

Hey, none of this is helping anybody.  We're a community - let's act like one.

I don't like this pointless schoolyard fighting.  We're some guys who invested our own time and money into something.  That's it.

You can either like it, or not, but in the end if you're not my friend, it's no skin off my back.  The game wasn't perfect when we released it, but we didn't charge for it - it was made by fans for fans.  People reported the bugs, we've worked to correct them.  That's all we can do.

Love KQ games, however I am encountering so many bugs.Ã,  I think I will wait for a cleaner version of it...... Is this possibly coming?Ã,  Ã, Thanks for your fine talents though.

Yep!  We've made a patch already that will be released this weekend, along with the voice pack.

We've taken all the bug reports we've gotten, and cleaned up the game a ton - which was really cool.  People for the most part have been really positive about it, which is nice.  We just wanted to make a game, ya know?

Jesus, this is crazy stuff. Ã, Thanks for the Dugg heads up, LGM. Ã, Our damn server is all screwed!

Heh. Ã, Yeah, as we said, the voice pack will be released and a bug patch will be released too. Ã, (Bound to happen. Ã, We tried to get as many as we could - one can play and finish the game, however.)

Whew. Ã, Way more popular than I expected, actually. Ã, I gotta thank this community here - a lot of excellent peeps that kept me inspired and motivated.

Andy Hoyos voiced Mordack in KQ5.

What about that voice pack, will it be done soon? Or should I just play the game now anyway?

Yes, the voice pack is coming this week.

Heh.  Yeah, actually I can get back to posting semi-regularily around here.

There's bound to be a bunch of bugs and such, and if you find them - you can post them here on our forums.

http://www.infamous-adventures.com/forum/index.php?topic=1100.0

That's the link to that thread.

So, heh, yeah - so corrections and such will be added in an update.

I have to say, it was fun making this game.  Looking forward to finishing Quest For Infamy now.
