Okay, I know this is a case of Necromancy here, but perhaps we can garner some answers this way:

I was wondering if this game was completed, and/or translated.  I know Joeseph DiPerla was doing the English Translation.  Maybe he, or Mar (the creator) could shed some light.  I was really looking forward to this game.

BTW, is there a Sam and Max gui floating around at all?  Just curious.

ANYWAY, if Joeseph or Mar are still out there, an update on the game would be cool.  I don't think I'm the only one who loves Sam and Max stuff.

I don't like what headdresses or veils represent. I don't think they should be allowed in schools because they represent a certain element of a culture that is oppressive and backwards. Furthermore, there are plenty of countrys that DO allow them to wear headdresses if they feel it is so necessary, and I'm sure they could move there if it bothers them so much.

Not to disagree with you at ALL Yufster, because I don't.  But playing another side of the coin here, who is to say that our cultural and morals are superior to some other culture?  Who are we to declare that THEY are backwards?  Maybe we are backwards.... who knows.  It's a fine line - I recently got into a conversation with my mother about this, and she spoke of how some Muslim cultures severly opress women.  I agreeed that I felt that opression and submission of women is wrong, how can I condemn a culture and tell them not to exist, without feeling like an opressor myself!  It's such a hard line.....

Hello all,

   Just a quick update, and thanks to those who posted about the anicipation of our game.

We're actively testing the game with our Alpha/Beta testing team now, and although it's not near completion, the game is starting to come to life, and most areas are playable.  Getting out all the bugs and finishing the art is the main thing. 

We're working on finishing mostly sprite work and animations, and detail work on the Backgrounds.  If anyone is interested in Sprite Work/Animation, please let me know.  It mostly consists of re-editing AGI style artwork in VGA color images, or edting sprites that I have made, to give them a more finished, polished look.  That said, I'm really exicited, as we have a portrait artist working for us.  His portraits look very nice, and I think they add a great quality to the game.

Here is a little preview of an older version of a portrait he did.  The final verison looks different, but this is just to give you an idea of what's going on.



I'm even getting excited, as I play these early versions and hear the wonderful music that Soup Angel has composed for it.  It is all digital, and it sounds beautiful.  I am convinced that our remake will be great fun for all fans of the series!

The backgrounds aren't GREAT, but it seems funny enough.  Besides, you got tons of time to work on it.

Keep in mind this is a tutorial about making SIERRA-LIKE art. Which does have a mixture between blurry and crisp.

I think it's a great tut. for beginners to learn how to make some quality backgrounds.

Great job, Corby.  People can complain, but I don't see too many others publishing tutorials.

What do you think of the Holy Bible?

It's missing a bunch of books. (The Gnostic Gospels)  And most of the stories were stolen from many other places.

Yes, Quest For Infamy is still in production, folks.  Progress has been slower lately, but 2005 is this games year.  Most of the work on the game has been behind the scenes - in developing the combat engine, and working on the script and layout of new areas.

It's been a year since the game went into production, and I feel we've made leaps and bounds since then.

Blackthorne, this seems like an appropriate time ot point out that AGA is Welsh (or at least lives in Wales...I dunno....). Although, there are 3 or 4 Scottish-living-in people at AGS (myself, SSH, Mestaphipopolis, The Dude.....if they still post.....) so....
