I find that in 320x200 VGA 256 color styling, there is a bit of pixelated edges to things.  I always put a slight mosiac filter on the pictures.  Take a look at old Sierra Backgrounds, and old LucasArts backrgounds.

Yay Babar! This looks interesting and funny, I will certainly watch this one - considering I already helped a teeny-eeny-weenie bit on it already!

Interesting idea - I wish you luck.Ã,  One thing you should consider is unifying your graphic appearance somewhat.Ã,  The original QFG series used the 320x200 resolution for the CLASSIC Sierra Feel.Ã,  With a little editing, the QFGV stuff could be made to look like that.

x2 - From QFGI

- resized image; used a pixelate/mosiac filter on low setting
- reduced colors

Good luck!

Sure Babar - no problem at all.  You don't even really have to credit me, just a "Special Thanks to" is all.  If you have anything else you may need help with, just ask.  I'd be glad to help out if you want it.

RTF,

Slide Rule is a great atmospheric jazz tune - I dig it.  You're a fine Jazz guitarist...

And I love Flamenco style guitar, your Flamenco style riffs are incredible, especially the run right at the end. Amazing, and beautiful.  I love flamenco stuff in Em, if my ear serves me correctly.  One of my favorite Flamenco/Jazz progressions is Dm-Bb-E7#9-A; it's a great progression, kind of interpolated from Mingus, 'Jump Monk'.

Nice stuff, though.  You're a helluva player!

Check out their forums, under chatter and Kevin's posts.  You'll see stuff there about 'The Passion Of The Clerks'

I've been hitting the ViewAskew.com since 1996 myself!!!

Uh, sorry, no I don't.  I did this all really quick, and I didn't save a layered version of the picture.

wow
How did you do that?

Lots of shading and definition on the walls; I then used a texture for marble, and I filled it in as a texture only at a very low opacity till it got some groovy textures.  I also added some stalagtites to the ceiling, as well as smoothed off at the edges on everything.  I also added some textures, using shading and colors, on the desk and bed.  It took about 30 minutes, I think.

My sincerest congratulations..... that's so wonderful, really.

Wow.  A few of my close friends are now parents of young kids - it's crazy to watch them start to grow up.  I wish Sara the greatest life.

Here's a tune that I helped my Friend record.

The song is called "Spaces" by Ronnie Dark

His website is at www.ronniedark.com if you want to check out more.

Okay,

I took some suggestions and tried to implement them.

Any other suggestions?  Paintovers welcome.

David,

Thanks for your interest in the project.  We're not sure when the game will actually be released, but we hope that it will be sometime very early in 2005.  Keep checking here, or our site at www.infamous-adventures.com for updates.

Thank you!

Actually, I started making a version of this myself a while  back - I just made the Peruvian Temple and the Hovitos, Belloq stuff - as a test - I always wanted to make this game!

I certainly think you should continue on - your title screen looks excellent!  Now, let's see what a game screen could look like!

i must say though...i think i would rather see it from an angle where i can see over the majesty of the cliff

Well, actually, another screen looks over the cliff, so hopefully I'll make that one soon!

As for the ground, I have to learn to vegetate it and pebble it up... I guess I'm going to trial and error that one!

I like the idea of planks of wood against the wall, I'll add that - and a crate, too.

If anyone has a paintover idea, you are more than welcome to show me.

It's late for me, and I'll work on it more later!  But thank you very much, all!

Okay, here's a 320x200 256 color-style background I made recently.

It feels kinda of empty to me, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what might be able to be done.

This area is a cliff overlooking the sea behind a building.

Thanks!
