[nostalgia rant] You may be requesting the fan-made remakes, but I personally recommend the original KQ3 from Sierra. I can't imagine what a remake could do to make this game better, aside from obviously improving the graphics. But, if you were around back in the early 80s playing adventure games, THIS is the game made the KQ series go from "get carrot and give to goat" to an actual living, breathing story and world with characters we could care about. Just my two cents. [/nostalgia rant]

Agreed.  The Original KQ3 is quite awesome, and the fan remake that I'm doing (Infamous Adventures) is basically a 1:1 remake.  We're not changing any of the story, nor adding things to it.  Basically you'll play a VGA version of the same game.  We are adding dialogue pics and some closeups of characters for conversations, but our remake will be the same.  I feel that KQ3 needs no changes - TIERRA'S KQ2 did a nice in-depth re-imagining of the old game, but for this one I feel no changes need be made.

The character's legs are way too short put in relation to the rest of the body.

Look where his belt is.  They're fine.  He just has a long tunic.  Heh.  This has been said before about JLM's work.

Course, it could also read like this.......

QuoteDear Sunny,

What's up?  Maybe you'll read this when I get back at school next week or maybe some one ganks the letter before?

No probs, though, if that happened, since I drew a map on the back - it shows u all of what's happenin in Swiss..

This place rocks, and it even has a beach - and you can party all night!!
That means from dusk till dawn, 100% party with fine hotties and free booze if you're hot enough - and showin a bit of skin.  Sexy!!!

Sorry for the long letter, but I know how you like to do the reading stuff.

Kisses,

Gwenny

PS: I'm goin to a place called "Salzbergwerk" or something tomorrow. It's supposed ta be more cool than the parties here, or so Wolfie sez.
PS2: The hairstylists here suck.  Bad.
PS3: Wolfie isn''t a dog, but a local Hottie. I met him @ the party - he's so cool!
PS4: Can U wait 4 me at the airport, cause I got so much crap to bring back?

Try that.

Don't forget that someone once offered to be a love slave to the creator of KQ3VGA.

Yup, we know. She's a great team member and the driving force of the project. ::)

Totally.  We have to get paid in something here.

One of my best friends just got married on Saturday.  It was 9-11.  He wanted to remeber a happy day.  It was beautiful and he married someone he loves.

Shit happens.  9-11 sucked.  Yeah.  But someday, it will just be an event that some stoned kid is pissed off he has to read about in his textbook for his homework in 8th period History Class.  That's it.

NYC has had it's share of tragedies and horriffic things it's sworn to never forget.  But time heals wounds and life goes on.  This is one for the books..... and a good one to let go.

This is a quick note for all artists who may read, lurk, post etc - and who are interested in working on a professional (hah!) like production....

We're looking for artists that would like to help us create the art for the CUT-SCENES for King's Quest III.  We are working from a script, and we have ideas for what we'd like to accomplish.  Here is a piece of production art I constructed to give an idea of what we might like to do in places in the game.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, PM me or visit our website and contact me, Blackthorne.   The production is gaurenteed to be finished and released, and if you're a Sierra game fan, this will be a fun project.

Thanks....

AGS gave me passion in my life again.

I first downloaded AGS sometime in 2001, I believe the fall.  I actually have the webpage SAVED to my harddrive, because when I found it, I was so psyched!  It was SO cool!  heh.  So, anyway, I kind of forgot about it for a while after a few aborted attempts at games.  I always wanted to make Sierra-like games, even as a kid, so AGS was a dream.

After I had my kidney transplant, I had a LOT of time on my hands - so I did all kinds of research into AGS and the communities.  I've learned quite a bit about gaming, cultures, and people in general.  I've learned that there are a lot of people who share the passion for adventure games.... and that's a good thing.  I've become a better artist and writer, as well as programmer.  I've met some wonderful people, and made some really good friends that I even converse with by phone.  I started my own amateur adventure gaming company, with members from ALL across the globe.

I always wanted to make games; AGS made that a reality - and I can't praise that enough.  AGS, like I said, gave me a passion for life again.

Well Zooty,

Walk around campus with your head high and eyes alert.  Watch people, see what they're doing.  If you see people doing an activity that interests you, go over, muster up the confidence to believe in yourself, and speak with them.  Be knowledgeable, but not a know-it-all.  Be witty, but not offensive.  Be funny, but not arm-jangling-jester-ly.  Just be yourself; it's the oldest cliched adivce in the book, but it's true.   If you know what you like to do, and you know who YOU are (Know Thyself) then you can meet others with a clear mind.  Don't worry about what people think, either.  Life, seriously, is really too short. It could all end in a blink tommorrow, and you don't have time to take back the things you never did - so just go do them.

From what I see of your posts on the forum, you're obviously a very glib and chatty fellow, at least in your prose.  Extend that to your vocal chords, and you'll be fine.   Good luck.

Why is everybody cracking down on Dune?
"It wasn't a really bad movie....like Dune"
"I didn't hate this movie as much as...I hated Dune"
"For being based on a novel, it did a bad job...but not as bad as Dune!"

Dune rocks, so shut up.

DUNE is awesome.  I just got the Three Hour Smithee cut from Ebay.  I'm psyched.
