The stupid names Lucas comes up with are a testament to his loss of any talent he ever had.Ã,  Look out, I've got a bad case of Sith's Revenge (goes to the crapper).

"The Revenge of the Sith" is a direct correlation to the title "The Return of the Jedi".

I don't think it's a bad title.  "A New Hope"?  Thank god most people just know that film as "Star Wars".

"The Phantom Menace" & "Attack of the Clones", yeah those names aren't so catchy, but they are rather B-Serial like, which was the intent of Star Wars in the first place.

Two words: Donnie Darko

best movie EVER, no doubt about it

I liked Donnie Darko, but everyone knows the greatest movie EVER was 'Ishtar'.

You wouldn't be, by any chance, trying to beat AGD Interactive to the release, would you? ???

They're not making one.

It looks nice, but I think the grass looks TOO long.

Basically, I didn't envision this planet in SQ2 as a 'grassland' type place with long blades of grass; I always saw it more as thick bushes and jungle type flora.... with the 'walkable' areas as trampled versions of the same underbrush that grows there.  The grass in your shots seems like long savannah grass.

The tress look great - but I tend to agree with what people say about the neon vines.

Overall, a great pic, man.

Yeah, Alien vs. Predator is going to be crap.

Who gives a fuck?

And Predator was beautifully crafted?  Forgive me if I consider John McTiernan not QUITE as good a director as say, Ridley Scott or James Cameron.

As for PG-13, it's been said - the violence is between two fantasy, Alien creatures.  And you can have as much violence in a movie as you like now, just as long as you don't say fuck more than twice, and still recieve a PG-13.  Cause lord knows, 'fuck' is more offensive than seeing bodies explode.

Robocop, yeah, that was Verhouven's bloody masterpiece.  But the violence in that film was mostly towards humans.  The scene that helped it earn it's initial NC-17 rating was the murder of Murphy, which featured extensive prosthetic work by Rob Bottin.  Total Recall, again, the Dutch Master was using over-the-top violence in his patented way, based on a story by Phillip K. Dick.  The story WAS important.

The Thing, by Carptenter, mostly centered on Human eviseration, although perpetuated by an Alien.

Paul Anderson, yeah, sucks.  He's an MTV style director, and I'm sure the studio really wanted to capture the ADD market.  But I don't think the movie WON'T be entertaining.

Honestly, I never expected much from Alien vs. Predator.

I mean, for fucks sake, it's a movie about ALIENS VS. PREDATORS.

What, were people expecting the film to be Shakespeare, covered in gore?

Predator was about action, gore, violence and much swearing.Ã,  The ALIEN series always had a more taut, thriller feel in my opinion.Ã,  Do you really think a studio is going to make a "thinking persons" movie about Aliens and Predators?Ã,  Nah.

I play lead guitar in a progressive rock combo.  I also play keyboards, as well, within the group at certain times.

I also play lead guitar and sing in a Blues/Rock cover group.  That pays for some bills, sometimes.  Heh.

But I've played guitar for close to 18 years, and piano for close to 9 years now.

Not that many.  IronMan just came up with the idea, on AGDI's forums, after seeing Radiants AGI + remake.

Personally, I think one should just go the extra mile and make a complete VGA make over, instead of modifying AGI graphics.

Not that IM's work is bad; I just think that the AGI graphics look fine, and if you're to modify them, do it up in a full way.......ack, I explain it horribly.  Adyeke on the AGDI forums had a better way of putting it.

Yes, it will - but it's legacy will live on.  It has been photographed, written about and studied and it will continue to be.

Art can be anything

Again, I'm sick of hearing this.  It's just an excuse for lazy people to insinuate themselves into some realm of greatness.

I should note here that I don't think Tattoo artists are lazy folks; most are talented illustrators.  I'm more sick of the crap that DOES pass for art today.

If people want to be stabbed and injected with ink because they think it looks good let them. Its their body, you dont have to look at it.

Very true, it's their body and hence my last statement, saying that if they enjoy it, that perhaps is all that matters.

That was abit Narrow Minded Blackthorn. Art is a form of expresion, as are tatoos and piercings.

No, I'm sick of people shitting in a box and calling it art.

Art takes time, practice, reason, perserverance, thought, emotion and many other qualities that people just fucking heap onto useless rambles of a minorly artistic medium.Ã,  It pisses me off.

I don't care if people think that's narrow minded; I think it's an insult to art - the thousands of years of it's development, and movement, and today's world just can't come up with anything better than turning a fucking light switch on?

Let me ask you: three hundred years from now, do you think anybody is gonna give two flying angel fucks about a light switch, or will people still be studying the use of color and technique in "The Mona Lisa"?

Quote from: Shattered SpongeAfter reading this, I laughed for seventeen years before deciding not to bother trudging through the rest of your post.

Thanks for that.
You're welcome.Ã,  I always enjoy making people laugh, but I suppose I feel sorry for you wasting all your teenage years laughing at my silly statements.Ã,  I'm sorry you even had to trudge through the little bit of my post you waded through.Ã,  Really.Ã,  It's such a terrific shame.

Now, yes, my definition of art is narrow, because it needs to be limited.Ã,  I don't want to go to an art-show, see a box of labeled dog-shit, or somebody who has 2,000 tattoos covering their body, or some freak who is pierced in 976 places on his body.Ã,  Sorry.Ã,  Not that interesting, or really creative.Ã,  It's actually rather cliche.Ã,  It's not fucking art.Ã,  It's an insult to the complete history of art, and my trying to mollify yourself into that world, you're just trying to affliate yourself with greatness.Ã,  I've heard all the arguments, that art has no limitations, et cetera.Ã,  That's just some bullshit excuse, made up by people who want to insinuate themselves into some kind of elevated societal level.Ã,

That said, the most important thing, however, is IF YOU like your tattoos and piercings, that's all that matters.Ã,  Don't try and defend yourself buy making arguments that they're art.Ã,  You like them.Ã,  End of story.

I used to stare at the sun all the time, and it never hurt.  Then I quit taking acid at noon, and I realized I wasn't staring at the sun, just the light bulb that hung, lonley from the ceiling of my crack-den-like room.

I'm sick of hearing "Tattoos are Art"

Whatever.

If you want art, paint a fucking picture.

Otherwise, it's just some picture or symbol on your flesh.

Perhaps if you got the tattoo, killed yourself, had your skin tanned and stretched to form a canvass, and then it was mounted, framed and put in the Louvre, okay, I'd call it art.

Or piercings, "art"?  You're sticking a metal tube through flesh.  If that's art, then everytime I fart and it changes the composite make up of a couch cushion, I'm calling that art too.

Look, if you like tattoos and piercings, cool.  Just don't call it art.  I'm sure Rembrandt is fucking insulted.

I hate the direction Hollywood is taking as far as how LAZY they're getting. 3D this, 3D that! What happened to conventional filmmaking? What happened to real sets and real props!? I want the Indy days back where they had to actually do WORK.

I couldn't agree more.  I recently Purchased the ALIEN(1979) DVD, and the second disc has all these great bonus features on the making of it.  Back then they actually CONSTRUCTED sets, with H.R. Giger hand-painting them!  Imagine if they did the "Space Jockey" set today, all digital?  It just wouldn't look as real and expansive in my opinion.  And how they did the "chestburster" sequence with all physical effects?  Now they'd have some digital creature pop-out in an unconvincing manner.  Back then you had to coodinate physical effects with extremly deft editing.  Movies just don't have the craftiness anymore.

Jesus FUCKING Christ!!!!!! Why do people put fucking METAL PARTS THROUGH THEIR GODDAMN BODY!  WHY!  WHY GOD!  WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, uh, Prince Alberts just seem quite absurdly odd to me.  I mean, I've never had a moment in my life where I was just sitting around, and suddenly "You, know, I really want a metal stud to pierce my penis right now." passed into my thoughts.  Call me crazy.

Quote from: ShbazjinknsGive up the anti-veggie charade. It's healthier, it's totally plausible, and it's just dumb to taunt vegetarians with comments about how many animals YOU'RE going to eat to make up for it.

Hence my wink emoticon at the end of the statement.  As much as I loath emoticons, I felt it the best way to convey the actual statement that I don't really care what one eats as long as it makes them happy and makes them feel good.  I eat meat.  Some don't.  Cool!  We all like AGS, I think?

People who don't eat meat scare me.

Why do you think genetically we have those teeth called "canines"?  For ripping and tearing of flesh, of course!  Not that an all meat diet is good, but we are omnivores and it's only through good science and food technology that the "natural" vegans can exist in any kind of healthy manner.

It's like rabbits not humping or something.

Then again, you just gotta eat what you like.  Excuse me while I enjoy my Bacon-Cheeseburger, my cigarette, my beer and my heart attack.  ;)

I believe it was "RETURN of the Jedi". I am not really expecting much from this movie though. I will probably watch it for the sake of the other movies. For a sense of completion. I mean, it has the Hayden guy as Anakin

Ah, it WAS RETURN OF THE JEDI, but early promotional posters had the title "REVENGE OF THE JEDI" on them.

I guess I just assumed everyone had the nerdy knowledge of Star Wars I possess.  I mean, I even know the fake tag line for "Blue Harvest: Horror beyond Imagination".  But I'm a Star Wars Freak.

I'll see the movie.  If you don't wanna, don't spend your 6 bucks.(or whatever monitary unit you use!)  Go see something else!  Me, I'll watch some bad acting, bunch of CGI, and be entertained.
