I re-read the Dune Series again, and remembered why I loved them so much.  They just captivated me, for sure. 

I also read "ANGELS AND DEMONS" the first book by Dan Brown to feature Robert Langdon, the protagonist of The DaVinci Code.  It was an interesting read, with some great ambigram symbols and such.

I also have to say that the "Left Behind" series of books are just pure trash; no better than the pulp romance novels on the other end of the scale, these books were written by hacks trying to spread and agenda.  Interesting concept, sure, but poorly executed.  I have a friend who used to be sensible, then he got married and his heavily Christian wife got him into these.  Before he got married, he would have tossed the book to the wayside, but the other day he was just like "No, really, they are good, man.  You should just read them."  Sadly, I did read the first two, and I felt like my eyes were on fire.  I'd rather rub Cayenne peppers in my eyes than read them again!

Well, I'm American and I hope to be at Mittens later on.  I took ill earlier this week, and it seems to have gotten full blown, and now settling down.  I hope to at least make it for a few days.

Are KQ 4 or 5 actually set IN daventry?

No. King's Quest IV takes place in the land of Tamir, as Rosella searches for a magical fruit to save her father, and to save Genesta from her ever weakening powers.

King's Quest V also takes place in another "land". I can't remember the exact name, but at the first I recall that Graham has to fly (With the aid of pixie dust) to it.

Come to think of it, the only KQ games that take place in Daventry are King's Quest I, and the last bit of III. (I think KQVIII might of had some daventry in it as well).

V started with the Mordack/Castle Cutscene.Ã,  And V took place in Serenia.... which interestingly was the same setting as Wizard and Princess.......

And Hollister Man, I didn't mean to say you weren't working on this in my post months ago.Ã,  It's a cool idea, for sure...... and I hope you do some further work on it.Ã,

imdoin a game and it is based in the vietnam war and i am in a jungle and me and mi m8s need a good plot/objective for our game like maybe a temple or sumthing can i get sugestions on wat you people would like to see in a game based in th jungle?

You don't sound old enough, or mature enough to understand anything about the Vietnam war.  There was layers of political, social and militarical actions that weaved intricate threads of confusion all over the whole war.  It wasn't just some soldier running through jungles, shooting people.

To use the Vietnam War as a backdrop, you'd have to dig deep into emotions, feelings and situations I don't think you could handle.  Vietnam is a very emotional and deep subject for many people.  It would just come off crude.

However, you could do a Jungle Commando game, in a non-descript setting - a fantasy setting basically.  It would be a cool setting.  Just don't calously use Vietnam.
