Thanks very much for all the great replies.

My exact reason for wanting to try e-cigarettes is for health reasons too. I understand will-power is required, but I am really determined to give up. I've actually come across an e-cigarette recently in Tesco's (the supermarket for any non-Brits), the vapestick - www.vapestick.co.uk and have been doing my homework.

My guess is that if Tesco's are selling them in the same way they do patches and gum there must be certain health benefits to them.

I kind of get your point, but I'm guessing that most people (like me) look to turn to them to actually give up smoking. Obviously they don't contain tar and most other harmful carcinogens of normal cigarettes. But thanks for the reply anyway...

Has anyone actually tried them?

Just wanted some feedback from a "user" before I take the plunge!

never tried it, I don't expect it to be *more healthy*... but it is less smoking and more of feeding a bad habbit/addiction...

That is actually quite scary stuff.

I know this kind of thing makes for great sci-fi films, but as you (and the article says), asteroids have wiped out the existence of certain life on Earth before... and you never know when it'll happen again!

Earth just had another near miss a couple of days ago that nobody saw coming.

Tick tock, tick tock, it's only a matter of time before earth gets hit by a rock.

What are your thoughts and feelings about smokeless cigarettes or electronic cigarettes?

Same here - I didn't have particularly high expectations because of link and then because it was blogspot blog... however, it's pretty cool and shows a fair amount of talent!

From your short post with no description I had low expectations, but It's actually pretty good, and pretty funny!

Hahahahaha!! Brilliant!

I especially like the "pulling down the mask" to kick some proper lyrics towards the end!

I am actually looking forward to your next compilation... WORD!

Welcome to the board Tildy. There's tons of useful threads, info and members here. I'm sure you'll be able to improve quickly. Good luck :)

Good luck to everyone who enters. I'll try and think up something if I can, it sounds like a good theme/topic.

Seems it's been answered, but yeah. As long as it doesn't specifically say "Not for commercial use" or "Personal use only" or something, it's generally ok I would think. But Ghost is right, credit would be nice and teh right thing to do as well.

Nicky is right, bonus tracks only available on album/bundle would be another way.. make like 5 or 6 tracks available solo and then the other(s) on album/bundle only

Here's wishing a happy new year to everyone :)

I think he's just referring to the sound quality of the recordings.

Also, as for the pricing, you can still price them for like 1$, similar to others. As I've seen songs around 2 minutes still on iTunes for .99$. But packing them as an album with 7 tracks should be something you do as well, that way you can either buy a track or all of them.

Hope everyone had a great holiday, which ever one it may be haha :)

The sketch is nice and the colouring you did had a nice comic style feel to it. But I agree with Andail as well. Also, the PSD from Daniel looks like it could be very helpful (thanks for posting that by the way).

Great drawing and good luck with future pieces :)

They were both really good, nice jobs. But I'm gonna vote for Sinitrena.

I like how you wrote out the whole poem as well :)

Me and a bunch of friends just sat around drinking, making fun of people who actually believed the world would end :P

The 2nd mouth definitely looks better. Nice job :)

I don't think there's anything wrong with reusing puzzles and stuff. Some developers make it a habit.. kind of like a series trademark, you can tell it's from the same creators etc. Anyways, I like it
