Messages - Blitzerland

#41
I would have to agree with most of the posts here, but I have a few things of my own to add. The following is pieced together from various forums and various messages contained in those forums. Here we go:

Blitzerland's Unabridged Guide to Spotting N00bs

1.) If they utilize chatspeak in any way (unless in a chat program, of course), they are probably a n00b.

2.) If they post incredibly stupid and wishful ideas in the "In Production" forum (go read the 'item collector' thread there).

3.) If they do not know how to make games, have never read the tutorials, and yet they still put-down others games (to make themselves look better), they are n00bs.

4.) If they are (as punaman was clever enough to point out) unable to compatently string together sentances, they are a n00b.

5.) Excessive usage of smilies in conjunction with chatspeak (LOLÃ,  :o OMGÃ,  Ã, ;D i am so l33TÃ,  ;) :D :) >:( ;D)

6.) You get the hang of it.

The other stuff on my website is for something else-and is not game related, so you don't need to read it. I will convert the BMPs once I have time. I need to finish a part of my game, first.

I posted a screenie at my website (enter at your own peril), www.freewebs.com/blitzerland.

The photo is large (and this is only a small fraction of the actual city!!!), and  takes a minute thirty seconds to load. Maybe more, depending on your connection.

Don't worry if you can't see it, because i'll probably submit a demo when I have time.

What the heck is a Kenny Everest message?!

1.) That wasn't the entire plot. Just the beginning  :)

2.) What the heck is a Kenny Everest message?

3.) Sure. I'll post a couple screenies.

Alright. First, i'm already about half done with this game, so this isn't some "imawannaben00b" thread.Ã,  Onwards!

A stupid yet funny, humorous, and sadistic game set in some far off place roughly between my spinal cord and the part of my brain that enables me to type this.

You are a cat (living in the cat-country of Tajii) who hates his life, his job, and alchoholic beverages (and the subsequent hallucinations, more on that later), who gets a chance to make something of his life by leading an expedition to recover the Lost Ruby of Catland.

UPDATE: Game is nearing completion. Still no idea what a "Kenny Everest" is. Will dedicate my life to finding out. Screenies posted on website (www.freewebs.com/blitzerland). Enter site at own peril.

Featuring excessive unneccessary, poorly-animated violence!

I had a lot of fun making this game, and hopefully you will enjoy playing it. If not, try rebooting your computer without saving your files.

This actually is my first game, so enjoy. The graphics are homemade using paint, so don't expect too much. The game-itself should be top-notch.

I am too deep into development to accept any suggestions, but if it makes you feel important, go ahead and post them here anywayÃ,  ;)

Release Date: About the same as Id's: "When it's done"

-Bye for now

When I am using the Dialog Request Function, I find myself unable to use more than nine dialog requests. Is there any way to use more?

You see, in my game there are these stores you can purchase items from. When you select a shop, you are presented with a dialog asking you what you want to buy. Not a bad idea, really. But I need to use more than 9 "run-script requests."

Like I said before, any way to use more?
