Completed Game Announcements / Re: Hang On

It's a Lovely game, my only complaint is the complete lack of any music or ambiance sounds, but otherwise I liked it.

I had a similar idea but you beat me to it.(roll)

While there certainly is good pixel-art out there, I do think much of it tends to look same-ish,
compared to the variation of styles found in higher resolutions. And while some pixel-art look nice,
games like The Journey of Iesir and the whispered world look epic and simply breathtaking, so I tend to prefer higher resolutions.

A problem I have with low resolutions is that I find such fonts incredibly difficult to read,
wich is an especially big problem with games that are text-only.

If I'd recommend some mature adventure games, it'd be:

The dark eye: Chains of Satinav - A fantasy aventure with a darker and more somber tone than most in the genre, and it has a bittersweet ending.

Fran Bow - A game with about the nightmares of a young girl. It has gruesome imagery and deals with themes such as death and mental illness.

A stroke of fate: Operation Valkyrie - A story about a german officer who becomes involved with the assassination attempt on Hitler. One of few games which doesn't shy away from discussing the holocaust and Nazi war-crimes.

All of those games are point and click adventures can be found on Steam.
I've made some free games in WWII-setting myself (you can find the links if you click on the banners below) but I'm probably not the one to ask on how well-written they are... (roll)

Looks cool, the trenchcoat really gives off Matrix-vibes!

For rejected ideas, they're pretty great!

Might a well share some more pictures of weirs knockoff toys I found...

They replaced Wasabi (the black guy in green armor depicted on top of the package) with a white, faceless monster with black dots for eyes... 8-0

If you look below, you'll se that Kristoff looks more like a young Donald trump than a Disney price, Elsa looks like she got a spray-tan and her hair is made from a melted marshmallow and her sparkly ballgown is replaced with a blue bedsheet wrapped around her chest, and judging from the red lump in her hand and the red blotch on the reindeer's neck, she just performed some manner of mortal Kombat fatality on the poor animal.

And last but not least, here they tried making dolls supposed to look like children from Asia and Africa, but were too lazy to switch the eye and eyebrow color on them...

The last screenshot looks great, love the details on the wallpaper!
However, is it just me, or does the shadow in the right corner look weird, like it was cut off?

Azor is a Transylvanian kitty who is really convinced he's a doggie. The bit of plot he's involved in is one of my favorites so far :)
Couldn't help thinking of this quote!

I was thinking of writing an entry, but I simply haven't been able to come up with any good ideas,
since no matter how preposterous or weird thing I would make up, someone out there is already beleving
an even more bizarre version of it.

Just to give you a real-life example, the husband of my mother's aunt honestly believed that
The Entire Vietnam War was a lie cooked up by Soviet propaganda in order to
spread anti-american sentiment in the eastern bloc.

(In his defense, he lived in Czechoslovakia back when Czechoslovakia was still a thing, but still, he believed that an entire war was made up...)

Congratulations everyone!

It's a neat background, I like the Indiana Jones vibe!

Congrats to LTD, you made a nice game!
But your entry wasn't bad either, Mandle!

If the game takes place on a pirate ship, why not use the word booty in the last line? :)

Either way, if the 18+ sign and title of the game doesn't give people a clear idea of
what kind of game it is, I don't think the text blurb will make any difference.

Very sad news.  I did not like hearing this.  He was a true Batman, the 2nd or 3rd best Batman in my opinion.
I probably shouldn't find this funny... but I can't help but laugh. (laugh)
...
My goodness, does that make me the Joker!

But enough of that. I find it sad that the original Batman died. Unfortunately though, I don't know of any other roles he ever played in.
I do think he also made the voice acting for the mayor in Family Guy, but I'm not certain.
Either way, it's sad to see him gone.

Holy crap.
The people who said not to bring race into the discussion, were the ones who accidentally made the discussion about race by saying that! 8-0
That is just hilarious. (laugh)
Whenever someone says race, gender or background doesn't matter, I think of this Monty Python quote:
