Oh.
Do you have to know where (or what) Morningtown Crescent station is to play? Because I honestly don't have a clue. Besides I'm assuming that it's a railroad station of some sort.

QuoteThere cannot be anyone in the civilised world who does not already know the basic rules of Mornington Crescent, so we shall not insult our readers by re-iterating them here.
I think that website just insulted me.
EDIT: By the way, what is this Mornington Crescent thing? Is it some kinda English game or something? I've never even heard of it.

However, SomethingAwful have configured their system so that anyone hotlinking images from their site gets the offending image instead.
I tried to post one of the Photoshop Phriday pictures on a place I used to go to.
I think I got kicked out, but I'm not sure because I've never gone back since.

Thanks for the comments, Snake and Aussie.
And yeah, the art styles are a bit random in some places. The reason is that the first room, as you can see, is a style all it's own. That's because it's the first room I drew for an AGS game, and I was used to drawing for RPGs. Then, realizing that drawing a complete background had much more potential than making a background out of tiles, I switched to Photoshop, and drew the next three backgrounds in that style. That's when I went on that unexpected 7-month break from working on the game. When I came back, I tried out making a background with MS Paint and found it to be much easier and much more appropriate looking.
So, the rest of the game will be made in the same style.
And yeah, I did get a little carried away with the Tom-Creator conversation. Oddly enough though, that is the shortened version. The original dialogue was almost twice as long. Seeing as it was too long, I shortened it and made it a bit clearer what was going on. Looking back on it, it still is a little bit long. I guess the reason is that it was really easy to write the dialog as Tom was supposed to be talking to the creator of the game (in other words, me). That way I really only had to write for 1 character, as the other was me. It's long, but that's what the space bar is for :)
Thanks again for the feedback, everybody.

Why are there so many 12 year olds but hardly any 13 year olds?

Just look at the 'BBCode and Smilies reference" under the line of smilies when you post. That'll show you how to do all sorts of crazy stuff.

I actually did something on schedule!
Demo released. Download it at:
http://www.freewebs.com/vp8/TOMATO.zip
(NOTE: You might have to right-click and 'save as')
Features are the the same as in previous post, except that there are now 17 fully functional rooms, and music that I actually asked permission to use (as it was Trapezoid's)
Enjoy, because at this rate, the full version won't be out for a long time.

Hehe.. Great game, especially for a MAGS.
So far, you've got my vote.

Some MIDI sites have it rigged up to make it confusing to download them.
But, there is a simple way!
The first and easiest way is to right-click on the link to the song and select 'Save Target As'. I've found some sites that have it rigged up so you can't even do that. But, when the song plays, it automatically downloads into your Temporary Internet Files folder.
So, the first way would be just right clicking and saving, and the second option would be to find it in your temporary internet folder and get it out of there.

Hehehehe...
Love the game. It made me laugh out loud quite a few times.
Now I go to download the other 3.

Now that Nostradamus brings it up, I could do voice-acting, too.

Oopsies.
Technically, I put in well over 600 years old.
Really, though, I'm in the last weeks of being 13.
I wish I was older though.
Some day...

Oh, I'm pro-peace. I just think that war is a viable solution in some cases.
Either way, I'm pretty much anti-death.
And like Squinky says, Peaceman, don't listen to people unless they're somebody really important. And I'm not important, so just ignore me.

Problem solved!

Yeah, I didn't mean anything by that post. I wasn't even saying anything against this topic or his making of a forum.
Sorry if you took that the wrong way, Peaceman. I was just saying that one forum with a conflicting political view was enough for my taste.
Nothing personal, though.
Not a bad forum, now that I check it out.

QuoteAs for my record, pal, I've made two games, several mini games, working on one big game project, plus ran two AGS Awards ceremonies, started the MAGS competition, ran a photoshop competition, plus moderated a forum here
And hosted most of the AGS shows as well as made thousands of posts.

I  don't think this Will character is getting off to the best start.

An idea:
There is a big plot by some mysterious organization for some evil deed (whatever that would be). The wizard does something that leads the organization to believe that that he has stumbled on their plan, despite the fact that it was just a big misunderstanding, and he has no idea of their intentions. So, thinking that the wizard knows too much, they decide to try to kill him. After the hitman shows up and almost kills the wizard, the wizard trys to find out what the heck is going on, which just gets him deeper into the whole thing.
Don't know any of the details that would work with that, but it seemed the only non-"hero saves the world" plot I could think of off the top of my head.

NICE!
Complex plot, nice graphics, good premise..
I like what I see!
