CJ is lying. We've all the seen what he keeps in his basements. One Thousand Monkeys working on one thousand computers.......
Bah! When I tried that, all I got were some stupid works of Shakespeare.

Like Seattle, Portland,
Everybody loves Portland!
But since the east coast would be more convienient for about 99% of AGSers, I guess that a west-coast mittens will have to wait for another year.
Some day...

Okay, an update. I'm working on Act 2 now, during which
Spoiler
Tom gets deleted and has to go through the hard drive of the computer and stuff and try to get back into the program
[close]
Since that technically is a spoiler, I thought I'd hide it.
But anyway, since he's going through the hard-drive, there needs to be other characters on the hard-drive for him to interact with.
So, if any of you have any characters from your games that I could use just for a cameo appearance I would greatly appreciate it (and yes, I would list your name in the credits)
Thanks in advance to anybody.

Pretty much nothing there, but it's a site, at least.

An elevator full of blood? Everybody loves an elevator full of blood!
That's the only thing I can think of off of the top of my head.
That's only if you need another reference to 'The Shining', though.
Or at least I think that was from the shining.
I'm just going by 'The Shining' spoof on the Simpsons haloween episode, here.

I think femme is right.
We should just ban his IP, and never speak of him again.

 ;D
Yay! It is possible!
It's a low-res game, so it shouldn't cause slowdown too much.
Thanks everybody!

I finally got to chapter 2!
This is hard, but it's good (and challenging for those who finally got bored after mastering VPXT 1)
By the way, the practice mode is almost harder than the normal mode due to the lack of timer and fast-forward button (so I've had to do all my practicing on normal mode)
If those are implemented, though, the game would be absolutely perfect.
It's already one of the best games out there, though.

I personally rather like it that you draw the bad guys cartoony and draw the good guys in a more flattering style. They don't even look all that different glancing over them, but there's a subtle differance, and I think that that's a good thing.

I googled for information on the Electronic Decency Act, and I couldn't find an article of any sort more recent than 1995.
And besides, considering that the bill would prohibit "the posting of pornographic material on a BBS" and basically internet porn altogether (both of which, of course, are legal with age verification).
Unless they decided to start enforcing it 8 years late, I think you're safe.
EDIT:Actually, I can't find any information even saying that the act passed. Does anyone know if it did?

First, to better explain what I'm getting at here, I'll give some backstory.
The other day I was playing 'Vegetable Patch Extreem Turbo', and it sorta reminded me of the old game 'Harvest Moon'. So, I fired up the old Super Nintendo and played it for awhile. (for those of you not familiar with the game, it was a farming simulator, think VPET on a much larger scale, along with social elements similar to those of games such as Animal Crossing and The Sims) While playing it, I started thinking about if a similar game would be possible with AGS.
I've come up with a way for everything to work in such a game except for the large field, which is the very backbone of the game itself.
In other words, I'm wondering if it's possible to make a field with tiles that could have their status changed (i.e., they might start out full of weeds, you could pick the weeds to get clear ground, break the ground with a hoe, sow the seeds, etc.)
I couldn't think of anyway to accomplish this on such a large scale (since instead of 9 tiles like VPET, there would be hundreds)

Is there any way to accomplish this?

The problem with books as successful as that is that they don't tend to have big plot twists like that in sequels (with main characters dying and such). That way there's always room for a sequel, so they can get even more money from that.
I very much doubt that there will ever be a Harry Potter book that ends with something like,
Harry knew he didn't have much time. The manual never covered this. He knew that one of those wires would defuse the bomb, but he didn't know if he wanted to risk it. He took a quick glance at the the timer, and noticed that less then 15 seconds remained. A bead of sweat dripping down his face, he extended that wire-cutters and cut the green wire.
Then the bomb blew up and now they're all dead.
The end.

I just take a night where I've had a bit too much sugar and caffiene (since I legally can't drink yet) and then I write down more of the plot, making the game more or less around the stuff i have written.
The only problem is, though, is that I tend to just go from puzzle to puzzle that way, and I don't put in as much detail into the game as I usually would making it up as i go along.
But at least I get something done that way (one demo in over a year. It's something, though)

Happy birthday!
You were my age just a few days ago.
And you can get your permit when you're only 14?
Lucky.
I have to wait until 15...

I have something that I could have entered, but it has a piano in it.
Blast! Foiled again!

If you can make the sequel any more addicting than the original, you are a god. I anticipate.

Nice! You might want to do some shading on those boxes (unless you already have). They look too flat.
Other than that, I like it!

The only problem I have with this is when I'm trying to get to sleep.
Sometime's I'm almost asleep, and I realize that I didn't close one of my dresser drawers all of the way. I try to ignore it, but eventually I have to get up and close it all of the way. Then, since I'm up, I check all of the electronics to make sure that they're off. If one of them is on, I turn it off and check everything else about three more times, making sure that all of the right lights are on (just the dim ones, none of the bright ones)
And then we come to the floor. I do have quite a bit of junk on the floors, but I keep it organized in the right way. If somethings not quite right, I move it around to where it's in a place where I can accept it being. And if there's other peoples stuff in there, I either return it (if they're in the building) or at least get it out of my room.
It's not as bad as it used to be, though. I used to have to check the windows and doors and stuff, but then we got an alarm installed on all the windows and doors and such.
I don't think I'm so much paranoid as I am just nervous.
