*cries* Its hard to get a game done when the mouse lags. Anyone else with Vista 64 have mouse problems in 320x200 games?
#122
No its on default settings. In order for it to move on screen, I need to move it a lot with the mouse. When I do move the mouse a lot, the cursor on screen sort of jumps around instead of moving smoothly.
#123
It only effects AGS games. Ive been playing Scummvm Curse, Full Throttle, Space Quest 3, and Sinking Island. All in which have no problems.

I'm currently running Vista 64bit Professional. (I know, its horrible for old games, but it would be nice if AGS could fix this).

Last week I was playing Kings Quest 3 again and realized that the mouse was lagging like a beotch. Basically if you move the mouse greatly, the mouse actually moves, but in a great distance. If you move the mouse a little. THe onscreen cursor doesn't move at all. Today, I just downloaded AGS to get back into Adventure Development once again. I tried out the new Demo, and realized the same problem was persistent in the game.

I don't know if this was brought up before, so please enlighten me once again. Ive been absent from the site for at least a year.

If need be, I can capture a video of my screen to demonstrate the problem.

Out of nowhere, this comp tickled my fancy. Its been a year since I last came here, and hopefully I can bare a feast of goodies.

Sorry for being a little late, almost forgot about this. Been busy at work all day on the 24th. Now the winners!

First Place goes to Ben304 for using an interesting but quite useful device. It actually reminds me of the museum entrance on one of the Futurama episodes where only rich people can walk in. This metal detector like device prevents poor people from walking in. haha :)

Second Place goes to Mr. Buckethead for making something visually pleasing and keep it under 24bit.

Third Place goes to u1bd2005 for the humorous coca cola machine myth...well at least I wish hacking would be that easy.

Fourth place goes Dualnames for being his first comp.

Has any of you thought of the shape on the right being a comic cell or an area to demonstrate a scene of what the gadget does?

Seeing as though this comp was buried beneath other new comps (Mockup Blitz, and that playthough one) i'm extending this comp for another week. Sad really.

I'd still like to know what did Darth mean by this sentence.

Anything human uses to keep motion going, still takes some power from "outside". Like heat from sun to grow food etc.
So it ain't feet.

True, but currently anything other than fossil fuels is a good alternative. Though I wouldn't mind a hybrid, Darth is right. Its a step in the wrong direction. There are many other fuels that are yet to be harnessed and produce a more environmentally friendly disposal.

QuoteSpace Boy won the competition mainly because he stuck with the story and create an interesting design for the ocean based civilization.

QuoteOption 1: Make a steam based vehicle
Option 2: Make a steam base Warship
Option 3: Make yourself in 19th century clothing additionally with something steam based (Weapon? Battle suit?)

If you had rather someone kept with the story, and it was such a decisive element in choosing the winner, it would have been better to have made it clearer, no? Objective 3, in particular, does not seem to have to relate to the story at all.

It was only a plus. I didnt say you had to stick with the story.

- "New American dream"? "Carbon conscious consumer"? Everybody knows that americans are nothing but earth-friendly, with these big, rusted, polluting cars with big dirty engines and heavy plastics usage everywhere. If I saw this page before your thread, I'd see it as an ironic joke.

The funny thing is that america the most environmentally friendly country. Every other country fail to do anything to help the earth. If we had someone to blame, Id say blame Russia, Germany, Britain, China, Australia.

EDIT: Britain is doing the same thing america is doing, so they aren't the worst.

EDIT 2: I lost a lot of faith in you Anarcho. It seems your being forsfed what someone else believes instead of look at the big picture and look at the world (outside america) ::)

the funny thing is that im a Gaiaist, so I really do care for the earth. Global Warming is natural. You think we have it bad? Mars is heating up too...and I bet your going to say its our fault mars is heating up. lol

The winner of the Steampunk comp is SPACE BOY! Honorable mentions goes to pslim for an interesting hat which I wouldn't mind having, and Woodban for an interesting go at a snow sled.

Space Boy won the competition mainly because he stuck with the story and create an interesting design for the ocean based civilization. Congrats!

Are they really desperate to bring more brainwashed minions to there cause? MEh, I'm against the global warming thing. (its just natural)

You say it like it is a fact. Unfortunately, not enough is known about this, so there is little to no actual facts about these things at the moment, but do you really think that all the crap we plunge into the atmosphere doesn't affect the climate at all?

Of course our crap is dangerous. But the real fact is that our crap dissipates when it reaches the atmosphere.

Also its a fact that it has been hotter than this during the prehistoric. No facts my ass.
