In a wild environment it is the wild who survive. We must fight to keep our society from collapsing back into a wilderness, to keep it civilized and hospitable.

Yes, and forfeiting people's right is deeply uncivilized. You seem to want to fight evil with evil, you can't do this and claim the moral high-ground.

To me this all sounds like:
"What?! They are causing us harm? LET'S HARM THEM!!!"
...Which is fucking insane.

@Wonkyth: No, your father and mother did that, by creating you.

On topic:
This determinism stuff makes my head sad. Infinite regresses and ultimate causes and what not pops into mind.

However, as a part of the human race, we have an obligation not so much towards "Gaia", if you will, but our children and their children. It's irresponsible and egotistical to shrug off a catastrophe the might be preventable by pointing to "the natural course of life" or something like that.
Real people are going to die by the thousands if not millions if we decide to sit back and watch.

Isn't it the same kind of shrugging off we do towards bad shit in general?

I strongly believe that we can fix this world for the better, stop mass-starvation, corruption, greed and so on. But we keep on shrugging with complacency.

...and this is plainly wrong.

Indeed. My bad.   :-[

I do though want to stress that the consumption of breathable air will be highly dependent on the physical state of the people on the space station and what they are doing.

...and effort to comply.  :(

It's not really an effort though, is it?

All you have to do is to use common sense and when unsure, look it up in the forum rules.
That is not an effort for being allowed to be in this awesome forum.

Spoiler
An effort would be to merry Babar, bare his first born, then sale it to Snake all in the time of a week, just to comply to the forum rules.

I just hope the Democrats win this, they still seem to be the least evil.

Yeah. It's like choosing between poop and poop pie. At least the poop pie has good crust, but it's still mainly shit.

@Mods: I do not have any experience with this i England, but whenever I get into trouble like this I threaten them.

In Sweden we have a agency called Consumer Agency (konsumentverket), I think your equivalent is called Consumer protection. So I threaten the company to file a complaint to this agency and this usally makes them comply with any of my demands. If they don't I just file the complaint and win. :D

Edit: I need to learn to read, since I for some reason totally missed what you wrote about threaten. But still, this isn't about going to court, just threatening about filing a complaint to a goverment agency.

But you seem like don't get the fact that a lot of teens make up these stupid words that I end up using. Like I'm hip instead of I know.

Surly the "hip" kids don't make up their own grammar? But still, if that is the case, you don't have to talk and write like they.

Edit: Dunningâ€"Kruger effect?

No! Don't move to Kanada! Move to Sweden! It's just about the same as Kanada, but with a really silly language!  ;D

@WHAM: Something tells me you are my "Finnish twin".

Just as Ouxxey_games says, I think continuity is key. I lose weight as soon as I keep up exercise continually over time (not that I do that too often).
