Yeah you messed up the URL.

I think some versions of IE ignores the extra forward slash but Firefox doesnt.
#3042
sorry i didnt know you could change inventory item names at runtime :p
#3043
the best way to do this is to just replace the inventory item with a different item..

so you have one that is "unknown" and then the other one and just lose one and get the other.
#3044
I think this is in the manual, so it doesnt really need repeating unless someone asks.
#3045
maybe you switched clear type on? or off.

Check the comments on your games page in the database :p

People be crazy.
#3049
well i would use it if the system were available, so count me in.
#3050
how does one interface with the system? just HTTP requests?

AGS doesnt currently support internet access.. Although there is a TCP/IP plugin i think its not compatible with the latest version of AGS.
#3051
It would be cool to implement this with AGS.. simply as a way to integrate AGS with other communities.

Adventure games dont really lend themselves to achievements very well but i still love the idea.

Thanks alot, thats praise indeed from the author of EE.

edit: entirely off topic i love that someone said Emily Enough should be for people of age 30 or over... what kind of deviance requires you to be 30 or over to not be perverted by it... people are insane.

Ya Jesus was definitely born before 0BC probably more like 7BC

As i understand it the 25th was chosen to coincide with Sol Invictus which was the Roman winter feast.

It also coincides with Saturnalia which ran from the 17th to the 25th i think.

Christians didnt celebrate christmas until hundreds of years later since celebrating birthdays was a pagan thing and thus not allowed for Christians.. which i find nicely ironic.

you bastard.. he was so young..

Im fairly sure Jesus wasnt fictional. There's alot of evidence to suggest he did actually exist.

I'll be honest im a touch skeptical about the whole water into wine, walking on water thing...

I think we've all agreed that the panel is essentially a good system.

I dont particularly think McCarthys rating should have been changed either. It sort of diminishes the 3 cup rating some how.. in a "oh well if you insist" kind of way.

Babar merely suggested that an alternative way of searching through the games would be a good idea in tandem with the panel ratings.

Either system has weaknesses but perhaps a combination would be stronger... its not really a change in the system, just a change in the capabilities of the search engine.

Open discussion never hurt anyone...

I respect Christ :p Not religion.

I'd like to sit down with Jesus and tell him about the catholic church and its palaces. It would be fascinating to know what Jesus thinks about modern christianity.

If i could bring back any historical figure from the dead i think Jesus is competing for the number 1 spot with jeff buckley and nick drake.

Edit: Anyway... Christmas remember :p not religion.
#3059
lol but YOU referred to him as Jeebus.

How come you can but i cant?

incidentally I have great respect for Christ. He seemed like a good guy.

Quote from: Calin Leafshade on Fri 18/12/2009 14:13:48Despite him being born in march ofcourse.
And by that you mean September of course (at least that is what most scholars agree upon; which would also fit the close-to-new-year-tradition).

Actually it seems most scholars agree on April. I thought it was march, i Apologise.

[Sarcasm]Maybe it's because my life actually doesn't suck, so I don't need a forced date (christmas) to feel special, warm and fuzzy (which I really never felt at christmas...on may other days, but not on christmas).[/Sarcasm][/i]

This idea of 'forced fun' is pretty common with people who dislike Christmas.

I prefer to think of it as a meeting stone in time :p Everyone will be off work at that time of year (except me.. im working this christmas) so it encourages alot of people to get together.

Thats simply not possible at any other time of the year.

Also i feel that christmas encourages solidarity. Its something to rally behind.
