I wanna get my final versions uploaded before nominations begin! Will this weekend be too late?!?!?! I REALLY wanna give my babies the best possible chance this time around!
#262
I better get a shift on releasing those bug-free editions of the VPXT games!!!!

Perhaps it's long-time-popularly-believed-girlfriend-of-Yahtzee Rhubarb Celestial...

As for YOU Squinky:
I'm SURE I asked you for something recently, but then never heard anything back...
Anyway, I'm going to start on a project for my mum's web-site soon, and I'll need you to do ALL THE DRAWING for that as well... so far all I know is: "It has to be a game about walking"....

To be fair I've only been working on it since last night...
And by "working on it" I mean, thinking about it while drinking coco (OOOOOH mama I make a good coco)
#264
no... sorry.

Don't tell ME what I'll know you as! I proclaim that hence-forth I shall know ye as beanie-baby-boogaloo!

but if your time is so important, you probably won't have spent any of it reading this post... :(

I'm such a waster.

( but at least I'm not helm! )

I think you guys are taking a kind of a flippant view of a humanitarian disaster that's struck the very heart of the AGS community!

We heard on the FIRST PAGE of this thread that at least a court-room full of AGS users have caught RABIES! Why are we stuck discussing corporate filly-phalli when these people are probably on their death beds! HOW did they catch it? Was there a monkey on a table being shown Clockwork-Orange style movies, only then m0ds and some girly broke in and got another angry monkey out of a cage, then got her face eaten, and the guy from Friday Night Armastice was like "they're infacted with RAGE!!!" and 28 days later the whole country was a full of freakish zombies?

Come on people, what if it was Little Willy that got the disease?!

As I say, I've made the install file now, but many thanks for your offers!

I am interested in this professional installer though... would this allow for themed VPXT images to be displayed throughout the installation process? If it would allow for a more personalised feel than inno setup, I may well take you up on that! (unless there are legal issues about distribution, of which I am much afeared!)

I fear it was a little before her time (At least her big time)

SOMEONE must remember it... I swear it was in the charts only ten years ago!

If I ever manage to get a stable team going, I want to call it "Zombie_fried games" and have some kind of visual pun for the logo...

I'll have gone off this idea by the time you read this, so feel free to thieve it.

I have got and used inno setup thankyou everyone!

although I'm a LITTLE dissapointed that no one made a comical reference to my deeply clever thread title. I'm only here for the gratification of people spotting how cool my puns are ("informer" sounds a little like "installer"! D'ya see wot I did!! YAK YAK YAK!)

If my puns aren't leet, I don't know WHO'S are...

he he he. That Cake drug thing was from the UTTERLY BRILLIANT Brass Eye program! Someone ought to start a thread about how brilliant Brass Eye was so that I can say things like: "Yo! The peadophile episode was the best by MILES!" and "Brass Eye was good, but JAM was better..." and "Do you remember The Day Today, which was also really really good..." and so on and so forth.

I can't cope with making maps of games. I think that making so that the player HAS to note things down is appauling game design. BUT I think that it's a brilliant way to add depth to a setting if when you DO make your own notes you can easily find non-essential yet super-cool extras. Blade Runner had a superb clue-remembering system that logged anything that might just be important automatically, including a lot of stuff that never seemed to be of any real use. I guess if people REALLY want to make notes, there ought to be games for them, but I don't think it's healthy.
#275
Ahh. No wonder you've got a baby you cunning fox!

does this unregistered free thingy have distribution issues attached (i.e. is it going to be technically illigal for me to sell my program that uses it...)?

If not, then yay! I'll use that! If so: I need something different... Is it possible to do this sort of thing in VB? I can use that (but wouldn't know how to make it pull this kind of gag)

Is "Inno Setup" a cryptic coded message I don't understand? Because I don't understand what it means...  ???

I think that a "dreamworld" setting is always a bad idea. Almost as bad as "it was just a dream all along" style endings. Thus: Dragons.

I'm trying to figure out how to legally distribute my game (on floppy disk) only I need to be able to effectivly zip it up and then have an "install" type program so that people don't have to use win-zip to open it up. Does anyone know how to do this without breaking copyright laws? Also: Could anyone do this for me (unless it's REALLY easy) as I can't really download any programs right now as I'm not even using my own computer (let alone a fast and effective one).

I think A Day In The Life by Mr Rodekill (I hope I got the title right) had such a thing, although I'm not sure...

Any help or advice would be greated with greating and possible cake (but not cake like on Corrination Street, wot the old people ate... I mean regular cake... I don't even WATCH Corrination Street, I just heard about it from my BF. Aparently it was funny)

I get SOME, but I didn't get that last one.

that game load this is because of the oldness of the version of AGS... (shakes fist at young whippersnappers etc)

Anyhoo, I hate to be the one to say it, but Larry Vales 1 probably had the best use of music in any AGS game I've played so far. And let's face it, if there's a lasting AGS classic, it's gonna be LV (that rhymes!)
