Well I don't want to lay into it TOO much for fear of being accused of Yahtzee bashing, but in comparison to the (albeit melodramatic) ending of 5 days, the end of 7 days is something of a damp squib. Mind you, it's a lot better than the end of RL&BAT, so I guess I should put a lid on it.

just to let you know, many thanks for the help, I have since downloaded and enjoyed the game (althoug what is with the rubbish ending?!?!) I recon 7 days is better than 5.

Also, my avatar is a pirate that I drew and then DEMANDED Squinky re-work (while he was working with me on a top secret project that later got ditched because he couldn't spare the time, and the girl who took over stopped answering my e-mails!)

It wasn't initially meant to be virbrating, but squinks did a bit of an animation on it, and I liked those two frames the best, so I kept them.

And I WILL make a cool new game soon... I SWEAR (if I can just get squinky back on-board... I fucking love the job he did on VPET2)

I downloaded 5 days ages ago, but when I come to get 7 days off of the underdogs, it keeps telling me there's an error. Does anyone else find this, or is my internet-security being too secure?

I know you can buy it off of Ben direct, and I may be able to grudgingly concede that the first game is one of the best made AGS games I've ever played (even though there's no explanation of how any of the bodies got under the floors) but I'm not coughing 5 dollers into Yahtzee's paw for the privalage of the "special edition"... Outtakes and an "Author's" commentar? why isn't there a "being sick" emoticon here?

ALSO, all the renaissance artists worth remembering were competing with each other hidiously and it hardly stifled THEIR "creative hearts" did it?

Similarly Shakespeare will have been under constant, potentially heart stifling, pressure to produce crowd pleasers and he barely wrote a duff play in his life!

I personally believe that competition is the true KILLER of creativity.

I think this is a very silly thing to say, and is in fact the exact oposite of the truth.

I don't get it. All these people hi-jacking AGS games for profit, and no one's ripped off Davy Jones C'est Mort yet!?!? I feel more than slightly slighted.

It certainly was beautiful... But I decided that since even a piece of code can be beautiful it was more apropriate in this subject to talk about the pretty games... Elsewise I'd have voted for Dungeon Master and Heimdall 2 and to hell with the "they're not point and click adventures" comments. 

I agree with the kyrandia crowd, although for preference I like Kyrandia 2 more than 1... But I think this is only because of the order I played them. I think that later games like Mokey Island 3 and Discworld 2 etc are amazingly well drawn, but somehow a little less enchanting.

I like Lure of the Temptress too.

Captain Blood was pure genious, but I don't think I'd commit to saying it was pretty as such.

Monkey Island 3 is the only adventure game where I can really remember being taken in by the music at the time...

I liked the music at the end of DOTT a lot though... Although I cannot remember how it goes.

vegetable patch extreem turbo 2 has only 2151 lines of global script. But the script for "room 1" is 2590 lines long, and that's where most of the actual action takes place.

This seems pretty small really.

At least by not getting nominated in any REAL catagories, you'll not have to suffer the kick in the teeth of having your magnum opus beaten in the end by some novelty game that people only voted for because it had people from the community in it and "mittens" in the title... Not that I'M bitter you understand...

I enjoyed myself ENORMOUSLY as a moderator on the RON forums for a while... But in retrospect it wasn't very funny (even at the time) and it was certainly quite annoying for everyone. Probably for the best I got that taken off me...

Can you use the pointer on the start button? I'm REASONABLY sure that's what you're meant to do at this point...
