Maybe you could try making them brighter closer to the source and fading till the spotlight, where it gets bright again

heres a ref:

But i like how it looks already

EDIT
oh, and the shading of those barrels on the stage is facing the wrong direction, with the light hitting it on the opposite side...

I tried one too yesterday, but couldnt quite get it right as well, i had never tried doing this kind of lighting before.

Well, muy advice would be to try and see how would this only lightsource affect the shapes of the bear. Try searching for pics of "spooky face light" on google

Heres my attempt

Other than that, mr fibble has given some good advice, i think you can manage from there

I dont quite like the shading of the room...
Why dont you try shading it like the character? Small number of contrasting(ligh/dark) colors, not "blended" with some gradient tool...

But the final one looks good, still it kinda looks lie a 2d character in a 3dish world

Started playin, got killed real soon too :P

But it was fun
There are some rooms that are designed exactly like in 5DAS, like the dining table room with the picture that leads to the kitchen. And the fact that the main character is a "professional thief". He didnt quite stroke me as a professional thief though, he looks more like a regular thief, breaks in abandoned houses and picks stuff, not a real cat burglar...

Ill keep on playin tryin to figure out how to escape the zombie thing, and ll come back later for some more thoughtful comments

in any case it would do a great zombie walk ;D

maybe you could make his feet cross ocasionnally?

but i think it looks good already, but not drunk enough for a funny scene based on that

Hello everyone!

So, I was making a fan game about Full Throttle, but without a 3D modeller it wasn´t possible. Then we changed to RPG, but that´s another story.

Here´s some of my old attempts to draw FT-style rocks and such...

Try to give more depth to the rocks. Rocks have random shapes, and light hits every bit of it in a way.

Here, i made a real quik example in paint to explain better:

Edited

I may have gone a bit overboard on the shapes thought :P, but i think it explains whatI'm trying to say

Great game, i liked the characters, they were charismatic. To bad it is only one room long.
I agree that having  order to solve the puzzles kinda annoyed me, i mean, having to look at stuff twice, also, the character saying "i dont need this" in most games means that hell never need it, but i guess thats just me that am used to the rest of the games, it wasnt a bad thing really, it makes sense.

So when will some more come out? I want to kill some neighbor-zombie-porcupines-things :P

My first game i Think it was either Trilby: Art of Theft or Nelly Cootalot. I remember that after playing AoT(and getting stuck at the "z button-mashing" time) i played the whole John DeFoe series, and after that the whole Ben Jordan series

This game was really good, i really liked the voice acting. Its in my top 3 AGS games for sure. It appears to have been heavily influenced by the Trilby series right? But i was expecting a more "unsupernatural" story because of the whole mood, glad i was wrong thought :P

There are some bugs, that im sure were mentioned, but there is one that i think no one noticed: WHen you get Tabithas Diary McCarty should say something when you try to give it to Victoria(even if you cant) cause she says exactly that she would like to read it...

But awesome game, too bad it was so short
