Okay to save getting all mushy and emotional in the game's release thread (coming soon people!), I would like to publicly thank TheBitPriest for his amazing hard work and dedication to the game.  Honestly there's no way it would have happened without him, sometimes I find myself thinking this is more his game than mine!

@Mandle - I'm hoping people would have realised you were joking, but I can guarantee there will be at least one person on GameJolt who tells me my voice acting sucks, there always is!

I've promoted the AGS Awards at another forum, but it appears that the registration process is giving people some problems.  I've tried to help as much as I can but this is the main complaint I've seen, no idea whether the problem is with the AGS forum itself or not?

I also can't remember if, once someone's registered, they have to click a link in a confirmation email - if so that could be the problem maybe?

Amayirot Akago has got it. It's the Jungle Book (1996), an adaptation of the 1994 film starring Jason Scott Lee, and liberally using archive footage of his role in the movie.

Gah I thought that first screengrab looked quite familiar.  I thought it was a fairly obscure movie tbf, certainly didn't know they'd made a game of it!!!

I just wish you would hire a better actor for the main character's voice...

Don't know why but for some reason I'm thinking this might be a Silmarils game?

That's the one!  Despite being a TV movie it was pretty good.

Cat, quick question - some games are released in whatever year, and sometimes only have the voiced version come out some years later.  I take it the voice work cannot be considered for an award on a standalone basis, since we go by the year of release for eligibility?  (Not a problem but I thought it was worth asking.)

Your art is absolutely incredible.

How about when you see a game with beautiful pixel art, there's always one guy in the comments that says something along the lines of: "Pfft looks like a NES game, why doesn't the lazy developer make the effort to make some real graphics!".

On a similar note, people complaining that "indie games always have stupid cartoon-style graphics" despite the indie scene being home to a myriad vastly contrasting visual styles.

(And anyway what's wrong with stupid cartoon-style graphics exactly?! )
