Hehe that's the infamous "Name the Game" game started by AGS member frenzykitty on 17 Apr 2013 at 17:17.

Now do a proper one! :P

Those are excellent, they have a real medieval feel.

The first set I thought looked like Aztec (or maybe some form of neo-Aztec).

The former. Goes for the BG's, the regular and Text Window GUI's, all objects and all inv item.

I'm absolutely speechless.  All the best with this amazing project!

I'm curious about your graphic modes - are you going to actually having all these different images per scene, or one master scene and using software techniques in-game to dither / change palette etc for each mode?

The Curse of Monkey Island is among my all-time favourite games (not just adventure games, but games in general), so you just made me all excited. :D Good luck with the project!

Basically, everything above!  Looking good so far.

You're right about the title at least, but I personally found the game a bit tedious. But hey, to each their own :)

Heh, when I played it a long time ago I thought it was wonderful.  No idea if I'd find it so now!  :-D  At that time finding a good quality freeware adventure game was a rare thing indeed, I seem to remember.

Anyway... not sure if this one's already been done or not...

Finally one I recognise straight away!  That's the excellent Out of Order.

Okay peeps it's finished, actually became a reasonably long short story (10.5K words) rather than a novella, I'm pretty pleased with it though.

Thanks Peder! ;-D

Looks fantastic!  Glad to see development is coming along nicely.

On a similar note, do you miss the days of getting physical goodies with a game?  I particularly remember the newspaper that came with Zak McKracken, and the various "clues" that came packaged with "Murders in Venice"?  I mean it's not like I even buy physical copies of games anymore but they were nice things to have.  Oh and the map that came with Pirates! along with the manual including the "Memoirs of Captain Sydney".

Some of you probably already know that I'm creating short comics explaining the backgrounds of Tardigrades' characters.

Relevant, I started anas-tronaut as a blog with my daily thoughts and sketches a few months before I learned about AGS :)

Aw I bet that would be a great story!  Loved "The Dig", to me still one of the most atmospheric AGs I've ever played.

On a similar subject I've done a guest post for an online acquaintance called "Turning short stories into computer games, and back again":

Gah... I honestly had wondered if that was Alec Guinness too.  But I'd still not have remembered this particular film I don't think! :-[
