I wrote this a long time ago, doing a quick edit more recently for the Amazon Kindle release, doesn't remotely take itself seriously and it frequently breaks the 4th wall. 

It's free on 9th November 2016, after which it reverts to the normal price of $2.99 or equivalent in whatever currency.

If anyone does take up the free offer I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a review on the Kindle site, or on your blog, or whatever.  Getting any publicity as a self-published author is a bit of a nightmare!  Thanks in advance to anyone who does leave a review.

Ooh glad to hear it, I bought it second hand for a quid last week as I've always wanted to watch it but never got round to it.

Well... your game will need some sort of conflict, but that doesn't have to be portrayed as a traditional bad guy.  (Anyway, why always a bad "guy"?!  That's just plain sexist. )  Conflict can take many forms, including a characters' inner conflict with themselves or all sorts of other things.  I guess the popularity of having a bad guy / gal is that you can very easily plot towards a rousing climax with the final encounter of the good character(s) and bad character(s).  Having a "final battle" is definitely cliche but it's also inescapably effective when done right.

So all I would say is there is certainly room for a bad guy - a physical enemy / antagonist for the game's protagonist - but it certainly isn't a prerequisite.  If the plot lends itself to having one there's no reason to try to avoid it, but equally no reason to add one if the storyline is strong enough, and the player character has enough conflict to resolve, without one.

Gah thought it might trick people just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiitle longer than that.  Powermonger is of course correct.

This is totally not my sort of game but congratulations on the release!  The way you just keep on making high-quality games is an inspiration.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr me hearties, 'tis a fine-looking vessel and the game looks more fun than apple-bobbin' in 140% proof grog, arrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Is the whole game going to be voiced or you're just having bits narrated?

Now I want to say "Target Renegade".  Thing is I've only ever seen the Speccy graphics for those games so no idea if these are close.
