Harvest Moon?

(Yes, I'm gonna keep guessing that until one day it's right...)

Harvest Moon is to Mandle what Blade Runner is to Ponch...

Apart from it looking like a horizontal shooter, I really have no idea.

That's one of my least favorite Disney animated features! I hate how it completely ditches all the coolest bits from the Jungle Book stories, how it's all just a long sequence of "and then Mowgli runs into some other wacky characters", the utterly underwhelming ending (with Shere Khan just running away after a short squabble) and the lazy recycling of the same animation over and over within the film (particularly egregious with Kaa and the elephants).

It's hard to rationalise sometimes why you love a movie that you have loved since you were a kid - also whether you have read the book before or after seeing the movie makes a big difference.  I've always loved Phil Harris' voicing, Louis Prima's singing, the songs in general and the personality clash of Baloo and Bagheera.  Perhaps not the best if you look at it analytically, but it will always have a special place in my heart.

There was a Winnie the Pooh movie after that. It flew under the radar for some reason.

Oh yeah forgot the Winne the Pooh movie.  I want to see that, although mainly because I know my kids will love it.  I've got the book of the movie which they enjoy having read to them, but it's basically recycling stuff from the old stories.  I seem to remember someone was tasked with creating new stories for the 100 Acre Wood gang, I wonder if any of those got made into animated films?

Was "The Princess and the Frog" in 2009 the last 2D animated movie Disney did?  (That one was very good, but I can't remember any others since then.)

The focus on sisterhood and rejection of Prince Charming are also firsts in a Disney movie, I believe.

Okay, possibly being a tad unfair with earlier comments - as mentioned I did enjoy the movie, just didn't think about it too hard maybe!

The feisty heroine bit had certainly been done before in Mulan, but I guess she in a way had a "Prince Charming".  I haven't seen all of them.  Nothing beats The Jungle Book for me!

I don't think Frozen really did anything drastically new, it just appealed to the prevailing mood of a lot of people when it came out, and this coupled with a lot of publicity blew the hype well out of proportion.  But I agree, there was little / nothing genuinely "new" in it.

Speaking of Zootopia - which I also enjoyed - did anyone feel it seemed more about sexism than racism, despite there being many obvious opportunities to deal with racism?

I thought Frozen was good, not necessarily outstanding.  It was phenomenally popular because it hit all the right social consciousness buttons at the right time.

Still haven't seen Wreck It Ralph (it's on my To Do list though!).

Hmm... not really sure if posting more screenshots is going to help really - the screens look very similar.

Clues:

It only came out for the C16 / C16+4
It was released in 1986

Mate if moving on to something else is really what you want to do, then that's what you have to do.  Just please know that MANY of us are truly grateful for all you've done for the development of AGS (and maybe you don't feel like you've accomplished or finished much, but you have in the eyes of the AGS community).

Wishing the very best with whatever you decide to do next.

You're close to having the right system though.

Funny, first time I saw it I almost wondered if it was a CGA version of Operation Stealth!

Now, I wonder how easy / difficult this one will be?...

Is Your Honeymoon Really Necessary?

Is she wearing a corset, you figure?

We have a winner!

Corset?  Wasn't Diana Dors always that shape? :-D

@CW - The handsome chap on the left was Bonar Colleano btw.  No I hadn't really heard of him either before watching this film.

Well, that's Sid James on the right. I don't recognise the other two. It might be a Carry on film, but I don't think so...

It is Sid James, but it isn't a Carry On film.

Slight clue - the woman in the middle has an alliterative name (or at least, her stage name is alliterative, not her birth name).

I do not have a very big knowledge of movies that old, but the left man reminds me of Gregory Peck.

Not Gregory Peck, the actor in question has got a bit of a funny name really.  The other two in the scene are more recognisable, both British stars of the time.
