Hi - I've uploaded a mirror now for anyone who doesn't get on with GameJolt.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gc79bwo04cmtjbk/Number-Rescue-v.1.06.zip?dl=0

Hope you enjoy my incredibly cheesy VA!!  Also a YouTuber seems to have possibly found a glitch that prevents you getting past the forest with the cages in - if you find this problem too please let me know, I haven't had a chance to check through yet and was absolutely confident at time of release that there were no major bugs!

It's looking great, probably the one game I've been waiting most for since I found AGS... (nod)

This really made my day ;-D Can I quote you on that?

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but we've been doing a lot of tweaking, consolidating and making little udner the hood improvements (well okay, TBP has been doing about 98% of what I just said!) - which is necessary, will make the game better, but is not something very exciting to talk about.

So, how about some screenshots that show what the game looks like nowadays?

Please note that these are only from Acts I & II - Ben has done us some lovely backgrounds in the same style for Act III, but it;s been difficult to choose screenshots which won't contain spoilers.  We're working on it... ;)

I'v got GhostCatchers being tested and this one in production.... also testing others peoples games ;)

The graphics in general are great and the handglider in particular is fun, but it might be better if you could capture your main character in the middle of an action for one or two of your screenshots?  Just a thought (only really occurred to me because my co-dev on another game gave me similar advice as I was putting a new screenshot pack together!

(1) Couldn't find Space Tunneler by CaptainD in the nominations list. Perhaps I just missed it.

Sorry this is my fault - I did mention it on the FYC page, but when I saw it wasn't on the noms page I went back and checked, I'd actually released it on 1st January 2016!  (So if you wer going to be kind enough to nomintate it, please remember it in a year's time! ;))

Looks amazing.  I mean, it's looked amazing for quite a while, but it's even more amazing now it's released

Gratz guys.

Oops I was going to query why Space Tunneler wasn't in the list and when I checked realised I'd released it on 1st January 2016! :-[:-[

Interesting concept.  Reminds me of an indie game I've played recently.

@Slasher - Yup you got me, just a big kid at heart.  Not planning on changing either. ;)

@Mandle - I thought I'd sent you a test version with voicing?!  Hope you enjoy my cheesy VA

Completed Game Announcements / Number Rescue
Mon 29/02/2016 23:10:39
My little maths educational game has been released.  Can you help Agent Tan rescue the numbers from those pesky evil twins Sin and Cos?

This game s largely aimed at 6-8 year-olds, but it's short, fully voice acted (and on occasions sung!) with a lot of humour, so even adults and grown up children may enjoy it.

Anyway it's here - http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/2024/

Is that the Ralph Bakshi version of Lord of the Rings?

Hmm.. a game featuring the London Underground... the graphic style and icons at the bottom suggest arcade adventure, otherwise I'd possibly take a punt at one of the Renegade games (only familiar with the Speccy graphics of those games so the Amstrad screens might be a bit different, apart from obviously more colourful!).

Haha awesome, looking forward to seeing what you do with this. ;-D

Glad you got something good out of doing your challenge!  I would see that really as the main reason for challenging yourself in such a way.  Maybe we'll see something great come from you that had its origins in the 51 days you managed (and even on the other 49 days I'm sure you at least thought about the comic, so in a way you still succeeded, right? ;))
#2919
Hey Gurok your game got chosen as one of the Best Free Games of the Week on PC Gamer!  Nice one ;-D

I would have really liked to join in, I've always wanted to make a RON game, but I just don't have the time atm >:(

Wishing everyone the best with their entries! ;)
